WWE SmackDown will have different streaming platform this week
WWE programming is experiencing significant modifications as the corporation switches from cable television to the streaming behemoth Netflix. The organization plans to webcast all weekly shows in several countries throughout the world, including the United Kingdom. However, the Netflix era begins on January 6th.
The sports entertainment conglomerate presently has no agreement in place for its shows to air before January 6th. This means that fans in the United Kingdom will have to watch the January 3rd broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown on YouTube. SmackDown will premiere on Netflix in the United Kingdom on January 10th.
The most recent NXT episode was also aired on the company’s YouTube site. New Year’s Evil will mark NXT’s Netflix debut in the United Kingdom.
The WWE archive is already on Netflix. However, the live weekly episodic broadcasts will not begin until after Monday Night RAW’s launch on January 6th.
According to online sources, Netflix will provide WWE with eight hours of streaming time for its live broadcasts. Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown will allegedly become three-hour shows, with the remaining two hours dedicated to WWE NXT.
WWE RAW debut will be one to remember
Monday Night RAW’s debut on Netflix is one of the most anticipated shows in the company’s history. Triple H and his staff have crafted a card worthy of a Premium Live Event.
John Cena will return to begin his farewell tour. Drew McIntyre will confront Jey Uso in his quest for vengeance against all Bloodline members. Liv Morgan will defend her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley in a last-woman-standing contest, which appears to be the conclusion of their rivalry.
Roman Reigns will confront Solo Sikoa for the Ula Fala, trying to reclaim his position as the Bloodline’s unquestioned Tribal Chief. The main event will pit CM Punk and Seth Rollins against each other.
