WWE WrestleMania 41 night one is just a few days away now

WrestleMania 41 is almost here, and while the match card is stacked from top to bottom, one big question remains: Who will open Night One of ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All’? Jey Uso might get a chance to have his way. He might get a chance to open WrestleMania 41 night one. And honestly, that might just be the best possible way to kick off the biggest weekend in wrestling.

Jey Uso, fresh off his historic Royal Rumble win in 2025, is set to face Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Night One in Las Vegas. Now, while most Royal Rumble winners would be clamoring for the main event slot, “Main Event” Jey has a different kind of spotlight in mind.

In a recent vlog shared by WWE, Jey Uso poured his heart out about what this match means to him and why he wants to be first.

“Saturday’s my day. I’m on the first night, so I really hope… I’m on first,” Jey said. “Obviously, I wanted to main event. We know that’s not gonna happen, which is okay with me. I feel like if you’re on the WrestleMania card, period, uce, that’s something big. It took me almost 10 years to get on the main card, so I’m humble with this. But I just wanna go first on Night One if I can — set the tone of the show.”

Who better to set the tone than one of the most beloved stars in WWE today? Jey Uso has scratched and clawed for this moment. He’s no longer just a tag team guy. He’s stepped out of the shadows of The Bloodline and created his own legacy.

From that emotional Royal Rumble win to now standing face-to-face with the In-Ring General, Gunther, a man he’s never beaten in singles competition (0-3, for those keeping score), this is personal.

Gunther may be a dominant champion, but Jey’s hunger is unmatched. This isn’t just another match; it’s Jey fighting to prove he belongs on his own terms. After Gunther’s brutal assault on Jimmy Uso on RAW, Jey promised to show his more aggressive side at WrestleMania.

So, will be Jey Uso opening WrestleMania 41 Night One it is one question. But with WWE still to confirm the whole lineup, it will be interesting to see whether WWE brings this banger match as the WrestleMania opener. But one thing’s for sure, we’re in for a red-hot opener that could steal the whole damn show.

According to WrestleVotes, the World Heavyweight title clash between Gunther and Jey Uso is currently penciled in to open Night 1 of the Mania PLE on Saturday, April 19.
