The World Heavyweight clash between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu will headline Backlash 2026. The match was already anticipated to headline the show due to the involvement of Reigns, who now looks to teach Fatu a lesson and force him to acknowledge him.

On the other hand, Fatu wants to take everything Roman has and break into the main event, refusing to fall in line as asked by the Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso), who continue to warn him of the consequences of losing to Reigns. However, Fatu is determined and has even warned the Usos not to interfere in the match, or he will “burn the family tree down to the ground.”

The match will mark Reigns’ first title defense after capturing the title against CM Punk in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 last month.

On the other hand, it will be the first time Fatu battles Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight title in the WWE.

Apart from the main event, Iyo Sky will take on Asuka, while Seth Rollins battles Bron Breakker. United States Champion Trick Williams defends the title in a rematch from Mania against Sami Zayn.

Additionally, Danhausen teams up with a mystery opponent to take on the team of Kit Wilson and The Miz. WWE has yet to reveal who the mystery tag partner for Danhausen is.
