The 2024 WWE Draft is all set to take place in days, starting from this week on the April 26, 2024 episode of SmackDown at the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following that, Night 2 of the Draft will take place on the April 29, 2024 episode of Raw at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

This will be the 18th edition of the WWE Draft and it is expected to be big. As the whole WWE Universe have their sights on the superstar shakeup, Here we take a look at some of the potential first picks of the WWE Draft.

WWE Draft 2024 Potential First Pick

Cody Rhodes- SmackDown

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes could be the first pick of this year’s WWE Draft. Based on the logic of last week’s WWE Draft as SmackDown starts the Draft, they will be having their first pick. If this logic continues, the Nightmare is definitely heading to the SmackDown brand. Last year he was the second pick, after Roman Reigns.

Since Roman is being absent and he is the one who dethroned The Tribal Chief, the SmackDown General Manager will definitely go for Cody. Rhodes has finished his story and is looking to start a new feud that would definitely pay out on the blue brand, where there are some refreshing exclusive signings.

Roman Reigns- Raw

If Raw gets the first pick, they would definitely go for Roman Reigns. The Tribal Chief was in SmackDown for almost five years and he only rarely showed up on Raw. It could be a huge deal for the red brand to bring The Chief of the Bloodline to Raw.

Roman could start a new feud or potentially continue his existing Bloodline storyline on the three-hour show early in the week. He was the first pick of the last two years and he might do it for the third time in a row, but for the Raw brand.

Damian Priest- SmackDown

The World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest could likely move to SmackDown. Priest has been having a great year so far and has been on the rise. Since Raw is stacked up with a number of talents, it would be great for Priest to make an identity with refreshing feuds.

In recent times, he has been teasing about turning babyface. Since the SmackDown roster lacks babyface wrestlers, this could be great for him to have a babyface run on the blue brand. It could be a great chance for the Bisexual Undertaker to lead the blue brand in this new era.
