The 2024 edition of the PLE emanated from Perth, Australia
The 2024 edition of the Elimination Chamber emanated on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Perth Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. The PLE featured stars from both the Raw and SmackDown brands.
The event marked WWE‘s return to Australia for the first time since 2018’s Super Show-Down and was the company’s sole event in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024.
The Elimination Chamber PLE featured the two traditional matches in the men’s and women’s Chamber match along with a tag team clash for the Women’s Tag Team titles where The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) defeated Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell by pinfall.
An Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match also took place on the PLE where The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) defeated New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate) by pinfall. Furthermore, Rhea Ripley defeated Nia Jax by pinfall to retain the Women’s World Championship.
The winners were awarded a world title shot at WrestleMania 40
In the 2024 men’s Elimination Chamber match, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Kevin Owens, LA Knight, Logan Paul, and Randy Orton entered the Chamber to decide the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 40.
‘The Scottish Psychopath’ Drew McIntyre emerged victorious in the Chamber match and went on to battle the World Champion Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40.
On the other hand, in the women’s Elimination Chamber match, Becky Lynch defeated Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Naomi, Raquel Rodriguez, and Tiffany Stratton to win a shot at the Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.
Lynch was unable to capitalize on the opportunity as Ripley defeated her in the first match of the WrestleMania 40 PLE to retain the title.
