“The All Mighty” was last seen in action at WrestleMania XL against The Final Testament
Bobby Lashley is one of the mighty professional wrestlers who has been with WWE for a long time. Bobby is a nine-time champion in WWE, who has held the WWE Championship twice, the ECW Championship twice, the Intercontinental Championship twice and the United States Championship thrice. The All Mighty is currently on the SmackDown roster and is the leader of ‘The Pride’ faction.
On this week’s SmackDown, Lashley was all set to face Tama Tonga in the King of the Ring Tournament, however he was pulled from the in-ring competition. Here we get to know why Lashley is not cleared to compete on SmackDown and what injury he is suffering from.
Bobby Lashley injury update
SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis on X/Twitter announced that he came with unfortunate news. Aldis heard that Bobby Lashley has suffered from an injury during his training and is unable to compete on SmackDown. Lashley was originally set to face Tama Tonga this Friday in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament, however Aldis took him out and replaced him with Angelo Dawkins of Street Profits.
‘SmackDown General Manager’ Nick Aldis said,
“Unfortunately, as many of you know, Bobby Lashley was set to take on Tama Tonga in the King of the Ring, but I’ve been informed that Bobby has suffered an injury during training, and he’s going to be unable to compete. He’s not been medically cleared to compete in that match tomorrow night.”
Lashley earlier this year suffered from an injury in his elbow during their feud with Final Testament, however he continued to fight with arm braces on. However, it is unknown what kind of injury he is suffering from, how intense it is and how long he will take to recover to return to the in-ring action.
Lashley was not the only one who was injured and got replaced in the King and Queen of the Ring Tournament. Earlier this week on Raw, Drew McIntyre & Asuka were also pulled out from the tournament and got replaced by other potential superstars.
