Backstage report reveals why Bron Breakker dropped IC title on WWE RAW

Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship title reign came to an end on 9/23 Raw!

Bron Breakker is one of the young, talented and upcoming WWE Superstars, who is currently on the Raw roster. He had an impressive run in NXT, where he was the former NXT Champion and the NXT Tag Team Champion. He was the face of the black and yellow brand for so long and has put on some great matches. 

Breakker made his main roster debut at Royal Rumble 2024 and made a great first impression, making everyone believe that he is the future of the company.

He initially began as a babyface, however, turned into a heel upon the WWE draft on Raw. Breakker made a big impact on the roster and climbed the ladder soon to capture the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam 2024 by defeating Sami Zayn.

On the September 23, 2024, episode of WWE Raw, Breakker defended his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Jey Uso in a singles match. Where Jey defeated Breakker and ended his title reign in 51 days, shocking the entire WWE universe. At this stage, the backstage report reveals the potential reason behind Bron Breakker’s title loss.

Why did Bron Breakker lose his title?

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer addressed Bron Breakker losing the Intercontinental Championship to Jey Uso and revealed the potential reason behind the title loss. Meltzer said that the main reason behind Bron losing the title was to change Bron Breakker into a babyface. It is said that the fans barking at Bron is a babyface move and the company has already begun the babyface track.

Dave Meltzer said,

“They are definitely building towards a Bron Breakker babyface turn. They are already doing a thing where they are trying to get the fans to bark. That’s a babyface move. So, they are already on the babyface track.”

Breakker already had a babyface run in the SmackDown brand, however the transition to the red brand made him turn heel, losing his mind, over Pearce failing to book Breakker in the King of the Ring tournament.
