Bronson Reed was not featured on 9/2 episode of Raw for his #1 Contenders match

Bronson Reed is one of the most powerful WWE stars who has been dominating the red brand. Reed has been striving to win the Intercontinental championship however he wasn’t successful in his attempts and didn’t get the chance to challenge for the title.

Reed got frustrated and tried to take the opportunity all by himself by brutally assaulting some of the major stars week after week.

Seth Rollins fell victim to Reed’s Tsunami and took him out of in-ring action. He then went on to attack R-Truth, who also got written off from WWE TV due to injuries.

Last week, Braun Strowman tried to stop him, taking the fight to the parking lot, however, Reed took Strowman down and delivered a lateral press crashing Strowman through the car.

Taking everyone out from his line, Reed got the opportunity to be a part of the ongoing Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s tournament this week, but Bronson Reed didn’t show up on the show. What happened to Bronson Reed? Why he was not on the show?

Why was Bronson Reed not on the 9/2 WWE Raw?

The Raw General Manager, Adam Pearce ahead of the September 2, 2024 episode of Monday Night Raw announced on social media that he has come with unfortunate news revealing that Bronson Reed was medically unable to compete, as he tested positive for COVID. With this, he was removed from the Intercontinental Championship #1 Contender’s Triple Threat Match on WWE Raw.

Adam Pearce said,

“I’m here with a bit of bad, breaking news. Bronson Reed, medically unable to compete tonight, has COVID. Out of the Intercontinental Championship Contenders Triple Threat”

Reed was originally set to square off with Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser, however, Braun Strowman who got assaulted by Bronson Reed last week made his appearance on Raw with multiple tapes to the ribs and replaced Reed in the match. Strowman used the opportunity to pin Ludwig Kaiser and advanced to the finals along with Pete Dunne, Jey Uso and Ilja Dragunov next week.

Reed’s next appearance is unknown, however, he is expected to be back by next week. Who will fall victim to the “Big” Bronson Reed next week? Will he be featured in the tournament finals? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
