CM Punk is set to compete in his first International WWE Premium Live Event in Germany.
CM Punk has been engaged in a heated rivalry with Drew McIntyre ever since he came back to WWE last year.
The Scottish Warrior injured Punk at the 2024 Royal Rumble, leaving him with a torn triceps and on the shelf for almost seven months.
During this time, McIntyre took multiple shots at The Best in the World, berating him constantly and enraging him further upon his return.
Ultimately, CM Punk was cleared for in-ring action, which led to him and McIntyre finally colliding in a one-on-one showdown at WWE SummerSlam 2024, with Seth Rollins as the Special Guest Referee.
The heated foes fought tooth-and-nail against each other, however, in the end, it was Drew McIntyre who triumphed over The Second City Saint.
While McIntyre thought he left Punk in his rearview, things were far from over between the two, as CM Punk attacked Drew McIntyre with a strap.
This led to Punk being scheduled for a second encounter with McIntyre for WWE‘s next Premium Live Event, Bash in Berlin. However, this time, the duo will collide in a strap match, hinting that it would indeed be a much more brutal showdown than last time.
Why is it important for CM Punk to emerge victorious at the WWE Bash in Berlin?
CM Punk’s highly anticipated return to the ring at SummerSlam was met with a huge loss at the hands of Drew McIntyre, which, although elevated him, pushed back Punk to a certain extent. Moreover, WWE had plans to continue this feud for a long time due to the build-up for months.
With Drew McIntyre securing the win in their first showdown, CM Punk needs to bounce back and claim the victory at the WWE Bash in Berlin event to even the score.
This could set the tone for the third and final encounter between Punk and McIntyre to see who the better man is. The showdown between the heated rivals could take place at WWE’s next PLE, Bad Blood, befitting their rivalry and ending with a rubber match that would indeed be a blockbuster match.
