Vega is one of the potential WWE stars, who never fails to make a name in the short TV time, whether it is a match or a promo. She has now become a talking point after her actions on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

What did Zelina Vega do on Raw?

On the 7/15 episode of Monday Night, Zelina Vega fought Sonya Deville in a singles match, after both yelling at each other backstage, earlier on the show. The match began with Zelina Vega having control of the match, but the cheap shot from Shayna Baszler took the momentum away from her, as it gave Deville the opening to deliver Devil’s Advocate for the win within one minute. It was mostly a squash match.

Although Vega had very limited time on Television, she became a talking point before the match. Zelina Vega arrived at the ring first in her signature way, with the Puerto Rico flag and waited for her opponent to arrive. In the meantime, Vega didn’t want to waste her waiting time and applied Vaseline before the match. Here are some of the possible reasons why Vega applied Vaseline before the match with Deville on Raw.

Skin Care

Vega would have used the petroleum jelly for the casual purpose of moisturizing her skin. Vega would have missed applying the gel backstage before making her entrance. She might have used the commercial time and Deville’s entrance to use it before the match, as each wrestler has their skincare routine.

To avoid scratch

Vega might have used Vaseline to avoid getting scratched from Sonya Deville’s long nails. Since Deville is one of the striking wrestlers, a strike to the head could cause marks in the face. She would have used it to avoid such reddish marks while fighting Deville inside the ring. However, the match ended too soon, making the vaseline make no sense, if this is the potential reason.
