Drew McIntyre enters the MITB ladder match for the sixth time
Drew McIntyre has been in a long pursuit for the World Championship and has had multiple attempts, but his efforts went in vain. Drew has now targeted the Money in the Bank ladder match to fulfill his world championship dream. He has promised to win the MITB contract and to cash in the same night to become the world champion. At this stage, we take a look at why Drew McIntyre should not win the 2024 Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
3. Could benefit raising stars
Drew McIntyre already held three world championships in WWE. Drew winning the MITB briefcase could be only another feather to the crown. On the other hand, CM Punk has promised that he will not allow Drew to win the world title again. There are several WWE stars featured in the match including Chad Gable, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Andrade and Carmelo Hayes who deserve a big run. Instead of Drew winning the MITB and going in vain, WWE can help a potential rising singles wrestler, who could benefit from the MITB briefcase to become the world champion.
2. The storylines will get complicated
Drew McIntyre has promised that if he wins the Money in the Bank contract, he will cash in the contract the same night to win the World Heavyweight Championship. If Drew wins the world championship, the storylines could get complicated. Drew should have to defend his title on the line against Gunther at SummerSlam, instead of facing CM Punk, who is expected to be cleared for in-ring action soon, by the time of SummerSlam.
1. Drew McIntyre doesn’t need MITB briefcase
Drew McIntyre doesn’t need a Money in the Bank briefcase to prove himself or get into a new storyline. Drew is already in a fixed feud with Punk and they haven’t fought in a singles match yet. Punk already had cost him the title several times and he could fall prey to him again. To successfully cash in and hold the title for a long time, Drew needs to finish his feud with CM Punk first and then concentrate on the world title.
