The King and Queen of the Ring PLE is the upcoming premium live event, which is promoted by WWE. The Premium Live Event is all set to be held within hours and the event will crown the 23rd King of the Ring and 2nd Queen of the Ring, followed by the final matches of the tournament.

In the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton will be facing ‘The Ring General’ Gunther in a singles match for the very first time. Although both the men are tough contenders, here are some of the reasons why Randy Orton should win the King of the Ring Tournament.

Randy Orton has never won anything big since his return

Ever since Randy Orton’s return at Survivor Series 2023, he has never had that big win. Orton’s only big win was the Survivor Series match. Since then Orton has lost all the pay-per-view matches.

At Royal Rumble he unsuccessfully challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, at Elimination Chamber, Logan Paul caused him the World title match opportunity, at WrestleMania 40, Logan Paul retained the United States Championship and at Backlash he & Kebim Owens lost to The Bloodline.

Ortom must win the King of the Ring to mark his first major victory after his return to WWE since 2023 & end his pay-per-view losing streak.

Randy Orton will make history

Randy Orton is one of the most successful wrestlers in the history of WWE, who has won almost all the major championships and marquee matches. The only thing Orton has never won is the King of the Ring title. Orton should win the King of the Ring tournament to become the only Grand Slam champion to win the Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank and King of the Ring after Edge.

Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes must happen at SummerSlam 2024

Triple H at WWE King and Queen of the Ring Press Conference announced that the winner of the King of the Ring Tournament will be awarded a World title shot of their respective brand at SummerSlam 2024.

If Orton wins the King of the Ring tournament, he will go on to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. This is a dream match for many, as both Orton & Rhodes share a rich history together, since the very beginning.
