Samo Zayn has not been seen on WWE TV since his loss at Elimination Chamber 2025
Sami Zayn is presently AWOL from WWE television. The RAW star’s last appearance in the Stamford-based company came at Elimination Chamber 2025, when he lost to Kevin Owens in a horrific Unsanctioned Match. After the match, Owens decided to torture Zayn more until Randy Orton intervenes and rescues him.
The Viper has now targeted Owens after he was hampered with a devastating Package Piledriver. However, in the middle of all this, Sami Zayn has gone AWOL from the red brand and has not been on the program since Elimination Chamber. According to recent rumors, the 40-year-old star has requested time off following his bout against Kevin Owens at Elimination Chamber.
As a result, despite WWE’s focus on WrestleMania 41, the former Intercontinental Champion is not included in the current storyline. Furthermore, the report said that Zayn may have requested a vacation from WWE due to Ramadan.
For those who don’t know, the former Intercontinental Champion is a Syrian Muslim who fasts during the holy month of Ramadan. Sami may struggle to keep up with his rigorous schedule as a WWE star, particularly during the European tour.
Sami Zayn nominated for Slammy Awards 2025
WWE has revealed the Slammy Awards 2025, and Sami Zayn was among the nominees. Gunther and the OG Bloodline member are also candidates for Match of the Year.
Both Gunther and Sami faced off at WrestleMania 40, where the latter dethroned The Ring General and became the new Intercontinental Champion. Many fans loved the match, and it is certainly a strong contender for Match of the Year.
The list also includes Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, among other matchups. WWE’s official website allows fans to vote for their favorite match. Follow us for more information. As new information comes we will keep updating the return info on Sami Zayn.
