Seth Rollins will face Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at MITB 2024

Seth Rollins recently made his surprise return after more than two months of hiatus after his knee injury after WrestleMania 40. Rollins upon his return, made his intentions clear stating that he wished to win the World Heavyweight Championship back.

He was confronted by the World Champion Damian Priest and they mutually agreed to a championship match. The match was later made official and they are all set to have their World Heavyweight Championship match at Money in the Bank PLE on July 6, 2024, in Toronto, Canada. Ahead of their match, here are some of the reasons why Seth Rollins should win the World Championship at the 2024 WWE MITB PLE.

3. Damian Priest to leave Judgment Day

As per their match stipulation, if Seth Rollins wins the World Heavyweight Championship Damian Priest will leave the Judgment Day. Damian Priest has been leading the Judgment Day from the front in the absence of Rhea Ripley. Priest breaking the promise of Ripley by leaving Judgment Day could result in many storyline angles. It would help Liv enter Judgment Day easily, could start the decline of the faction and more.

2. Last shot for the world title

This will be the first and last title shot for Seth Rollins with Damian Priest as the World Heavyweight Champion. If Rollins loses, he can no longer challenge for the title until Priest holds the title. At this stage, Rollins needs to win the title, or else his return will go in vain, and has to wait until Priest loses his title.

Seth Rollins vs Gunther is one of the dream matches for most of the fans. The tease was made weeks before Royal Rumble, where Gunther confronted Rollins saying that he would come for the world title. The tease had a great reception from the WWE Universe, however, the match didn’t happen as both went busy over their title defense and rivalries.

Gunther is now locked as the contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. At this stage, Seth Rollins should win the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank, to have a dream match with Gunther at SummerSlam 2024.
