Seth Rollins is one of the six competitors in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match this year.
WWE Elimination Chamber 2025 is days away from taking place in the Rogers Center in Toronto, Canada. The show’s prominent highlights will be the two Elimination Chamber matches. In the Men’s Chamber match, Seth Rollins is one of the top stars competing.
The Visionary defeated Finn Balor in a spectacular match on RAW to qualify for the WWE Elimination Chamber. Rollins is laser-focused on winning the chamber and earning the World title opportunity at WrestleMania 41. However, Rollins might not walk out of the chamber victorious for these five reasons:
5. Seth Rollins is favored for a mega match against another top star
WWE has already teased a different plan for Seth Rollins at The Show of Shows, WrestleMania 41. This happened at the 2025 Royal Rumble PLE when he and Roman Reigns were involved in a cinematic altercation, and Rollins laid a massive beatdown on him outside the ring. Since that night, fans have been expecting Reigns to return and engage in a heated storyline with his former Shield brother that would culminate in a match at WrestleMania this year.
4. Fans are not keen to see Rollins in the World title picture
The WWE Universe has been very vocal regarding the World title picture they want to see this year. One has been set as Jey Uso‘s Royal Rumble win earned him a World title match against Gunther, and WWE reportedly has different plans for Cody Rhodes‘ opponent. Those reports have been well supported by a majority of fans, effectively leading to Seth Rollins’s loss at the Elimination Chamber event.
3. Reported plans of a triple threat match
While WWE fans would love to see a Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 41, the reported plans hint at a different situation. WWE has reportedly planned a triple threat match between Rollins, Reigns, and CM Punk, which was teased when all three men were eliminated from the Royal Rumble match. This could be an excellent star-studded match, but it would also mean that Rollins will lose in the Elimination Chamber.
2. Match loss would pave the way for a heel turn
Seth Rollins was portrayed as a babyface star on Monday Night RAW. However, the fans heavily cheered his arch-rival, CM Punk, during their heated feud that culminated in a blockbuster match. Moreover, the fans still prefer to cheer Punk over Rollins, and the same could happen inside the Elimination Chamber. Rollins could then lose the match, and this could pave the way for his heel turn to give a fresh creative direction to his career on the road to WrestleMania 41.
1. John Cena is the heavy favorite to win
Ever since his loss in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match, fans have been heavily expecting John Cena to win the Elimination Chamber. Moreover, an early report by Dave Meltzer also hinted that Cena has been locked in to win back in early October or November 2024 to win the match. With many reports hinting to that fact along with fans’ support to see Cena win, Seth Rollins is unlikely to leave the chamber as the winner.
