Why The New Day are banned from WWE locker room?

The New Day are getting a lot of hate since they turned on Big E
Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston (The New Day) are facing severe backlash since they turned on their stablemate Big E during the New Day’s tenth-anniversary celebration recently.
The Stamford-based promotion celebrated The New Day’s 10th anniversary on the December 2nd episode of Raw, paying tribute to one of the most successful tag teams in the company’s history.
The faction, known for its infectious positivity flipped the switch on their fans as Woods and Kingston turned heel and kicked out Big E of their group. The ‘former’ powerhouse of the faction returned during the anniversary celebrations. He has been out of action since 2022 due to a neck injury.
Woods and Kingston have faced a lot of backlash not just from the WWE fandom but also from their fellow superstars. On last week’s episode of the Red brand, the two stars attempted to address the fans, but they were mercilessly booed out of the arena as the Kansas crowd refused to let them speak.
Kingston had high hopes for this week’s episode which took place in his hometown of Boston. However, things quickly took an even worse turn for the two as they were kicked out of the locker room.
WWE locker room thinks the New Day crossed the line with Big E
During the 12/16 episode of the Red brand, Rey Mysterio informed Woods and Kingston that they were no longer allowed in the men’s locker room after what they did to Big E. Mysterio revealed that everyone in the locker room has a problem with Woods and Kofi for their recent actions.
Despite Kingston‘s pleas to not treat them as harshly as the WWE fandom has, Mysterio stood firm, insisting they find somewhere else to change.
“You guys crossed the line with E. I think it’s best, for your own good, if you find somewhere else to change.” the WWE legend stated during the segment.
It will be interesting to see how the faction reacts to this ban, especially with the fandom closely watching their every move. They will need to choose their next steps carefully, as they can’t afford to give fans another reason to turn against them.
Do you think the WWE locker room did the right thing by banning The New Day? Do you believe Woods and Kingston are receiving treatment far worse than they deserve? Share your thoughts and opinions in the comments section.
