New Orleans will no longer host the 42nd edition!
The 41st edition of WrestleMania took place over two nights on April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA. The 41st edition of the PLE was the second WrestleMania to take place in the Las Vegas area.
While there have been multiple bids and fan demands to host the ‘Grandest Stage’ in multiple big cities and countries. The serious conversation between WWE and London’s Mayor to hold the PLE in the great city sparked many fans’ interest, while it never materialized, here we take a look at why Wembley Stadium is the perfect venue to host the biggest PLE, if the WWE decides to do so.
The promotion has already witnessed how passionate and iconic the fans in the United Kingdom are. With the biggest show on the calendar, there’s no doubt the UK crowd would create an unforgettable atmosphere, not just for the performers in the ring, but also for viewers watching around the world. And when it comes to hosting WrestleMania in London, what better venue than the legendary Wembley Stadium?
Wembley Stadium, located in London, is England’s national football stadium. It is incredibly popular and regularly hosts major events, including most of the England national team’s home matches and the FA Cup Final.
The Wembley Stadium is the largest stadium in the UK with 90,000 seats
While the London crowd itself is enough to sell fans on the city hosting WrestleMania, add to that it emanating from Wembley, which is the largest stadium in the UK with a seating capacity of 90,000.
The 41st edition of the PLE, which emanated from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, saw a combined attendance of 117,380 (Night 1: 57,037 & Night 2: 60,343). The Wembley will not only surpass the record easily but also create a new gate which would be tough to replicate by anyone.
WWE’s rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has already set one of a kind record during the trip to the Wembley Stadium. AEW: All In London in 2023 broke numerous records within the pro wrestling world.
The sold-out show drew an impressive 81,035 fans from over 70 countries to Wembley Stadium, setting the record for the largest audience ever for a pro wrestling event in Europe. The show also became the highest-grossing event ever and one of the largest pro wrestling gates of all time, generating more than $10 million.
WWE can create much better numbers by putting up an amazing card for a potential trip to Wembley for WrestleMania. Do you want WWE to bring WrestleMania PLE to Wembley Stadium? Share your thoughts in the comments section.
