“The Best in the World” got injured at Royal Rumble 2024
CM Punk has been on hiatus for a long time for his right tricep muscle tear, which he suffered during his in-ring return at Royal Rumble 2024. Punk however managed to appear on the road to WrestleMania on a few important occasions and at WrestleMania 40 to cost Drew McIntyre’s Championship. Punk showed up the following night to cost Drew’s title opportunity again.
The Best in the World was not seen then, however WWE advertised him for both the Draft nights. Although Punk was announced for Night 1 Draft on Smackdown, Punk didn’t show up on the live show however he appeared after the show went off-air. As Punk’s appearance on SmackDown was not featured on television there is confusion among WWE fans about whether he would show up live on television or not on this week’s Raw.
CM Punk’s Raw appearance
There isn’t any update on whether Punk will appear on television or not, however there is a mere possibility that he would appear live. Punk is currently on the Night 2 Draft eligibility pool, where he could possibly be drafted to SmackDown or retained to SmackDown. Punk could likely show up after his Draft is made and would address the WWE Universe.
Punk is also in a feud with Drew McIntyre, and he could also have a live microphone session with him. Based on SmackDown’s appearance and internet things, it seems like there could be some segment involving Punk, Drew McIntyre & Sheamus. Who has been mocking each other on Social Media.
What did CM Punk do after SmackDown?
CM Punk after SmackDown went off air came to the ring to cut a quick live promo. The Second City Saint addressed the WWE Universe, the ongoing WWE Draft and his injury. Punk said that he missed the WWE Universe and thanked them for giving sold-out shows. He then went on to say that he is not cleared to compete yet, but promised that he would be back in action with some of the big and tough badasses backstage.
Punk then went on to praise Baseball Hall of Famer, Pete Rose saying, but Chad Gable confronted him and trash talked Pete Rose and the Cincinnati crowd. Gable tried to take down the injured Punk, with the help of Otis, but Punk retreated saying he was injured and called out his friend, who recently came from injury, which is none-other than Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior made Gable retreat and Punk with a quick interaction went backstage.
