CM Punk has been absent from WWE programming since April 20.
‘The Second City Saint’ CM Punk failed to retain the World Heavyweight title in the main event of Night 2 of WrestleMania against Roman Reigns. Punk made an appearance on the fallout show of Raw on April 20 to address fans after the title loss.
Punk even engaged in a segment with Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, where a potential clash was teased, making fans speculate about Punk’s next move.
However, since the aforementioned appearance, Punk has been absent from WWE Television, with many speculating that he might be taking a well-deserved break.
Will CM Punk appear on Raw tonight in Omaha?
Yes, CM Punk is advertised for the show and is listed among the featured stars for the show. Additionally, Punk is also featured on the promo graphic for the show on WWE’s website.
While nothing has been announced regarding CM Punk, and he is also not booked for any match at the upcoming Backlash PLE, WWE might use tonight’s appearance to tease something.
Additionally, Punk can also team up with Danhausen to partake in the tag team match against The Miz and Kit Wilson. This will be a fun detour for Punk, who has been engaged in multiple fierce feuds since his title reign began in November 2025.
Fans will have to tune in to find out what WWE has planned for Punk after Mania and whether he decides to follow through on and challenge Cody Rhodes or demand a rematch with Roman Reigns.

The upcoming May 4 edition of WWE Raw is set to emanate live from the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. It will serve as the go-home show for the 2026 edition of Backlash, which is set for May 9 in Tampa, Florida.
Announced for the show is a contract signing between Roman Reigns & Jacob Fatu for the World Heavyweight title match at Backlash. On the other hand, Sol Ruca will sign her Raw contract, while IC Champion Penta will team up with Je’Von Evans to take on Rusev and Ethan Page.
Oba Femi will commence his open challenge. Meanwhile, GM Adam Pearce has also announced a segment between Iyo Sky and Asuka ahead of their scheduled clash at Backlash, while a singles match between Finn Balor and JD McDonagh is also announced.
