Paul Heyman made his return on the 11/22 episode of SmackDown
The 11/22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown ended with a bang as ‘The Wiseman’ Paul Heyman made his return. Just when things seemed to crumble for the OG faction as they were outnumbered against the rogue faction.
Amid the OG faction’s struggle to find their fifth member for the WWE WarGames clash, The Wiseman made his return just when Sikoa was asking the OG faction to surrender.
The Wiseman also brought his old associate with him to solve Reigns and OG Bloodline’s problems. CM Punk made his long-awaited return to Salt Lake City and joined the OG faction as the fifth member.
Punk stepped into the ring and teamed up with Zayn, Jey, Jimmy, and Reigns to take down the rogue faction before their upcoming PLE showdown. By the end of the show, the OG faction stood united with Heyman, raising their fingers to the sky.
Fans noticed a change in Paul Heyman’s appearance
The return of Heyman and Punk caused a ripple in the WWE fandom, creating a huge buzz ahead of the upcoming PLE in Vancouver, Canada. The addition of The Second City Saint also neutralized the numbers games which was in favor of the rogue Bloodline.
However, many fans were quick to notice the change in The Wiseman’s appearance during his return to SmackDown in Salt Lake City.
Heyman was rocking an attire that was very similar to what Solo Sikoa used to wear post-WrestleMania 40. This was also the time Reigns was absent from the promotion after suffering defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes.
Heyman was forced to work with Sikoa as he was the de facto leader of the Bloodline since Reigns‘ absence. The resemblance to Sikoa’s red-and-black outfit has caused a stir on social media.
Many fans are theorizing that Heyman has a larger plan in mind and he will betray The OTC at the upcoming PLE to reunite with the current Tribal Chief Solo Sikoa.
However, it seems highly unlikely that the promotion will take this route considering the addition of CM Punk in the mix at WarGames. The Wiseman has also refused to acknowledge Sikoa during Reigns’ absence despite the looming threat of the rogue Bloodline.
There are still signs that there might be a bigger plan in action behind the scenes which points to the fact that the Bloodline saga is far from over.
