Will Paul Heyman help Brock Lesnar defeat John Cena at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025?

The two former associates crossed paths on the go-home show of SmackDown!

‘The Beast Incarnate’ Brock Lesnar was originally supposed to sit down with Michael Cole for an interview ahead of Wrestlepalooza on the go-home show of SmackDown. The September 19 episode of Friday Night SmackDown aired live from the Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio. 

Michael Cole informed that he would be conducting the Lesnar interview right away and was heading backstage, but Brock appeared near the entrance ramp. Lesnar picked up Michael Cole and paraded him around before throwing him into the ring.

However, before Lesnar could attack, Corey Graves stepped in to diffuse the situation. Brock responded by hitting Graves with two F5s, then grabbed the camera and warned John Cena that he was coming for blood tomorrow. “John, I’m coming for you!” “IT’S D-DAY tomorrow, John, I’m coming for blood!”

Face-to-face with an old friend

Moments later, Michael Cole, along with medical staff and officials, checked on Corey Graves as the camera cut backstage to Brock Lesnar coming face-to-face with Paul Heyman, who was alongside Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

Lesnar then walked up to Heyman and said, “We should talk,” before tapping him on the chest and walking away, as Heyman let out a cynical laugh.

Will Paul Heyman help Brock Lesnar defeat John Cena?

The history behind the two stars and the sneaky nature of Heyman have led many fans to speculate whether Heyman will help Lesnar in his singles clash against Cena, which is set to kick off the Wrestlepalooza PLE.

Heyman is currently a part of Seth Rollins-led ‘The Vision’ faction, which consists of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Becky Lynch. Rollins and Lynch are set to battle CM Punk and AJ Lee in a mixed tag team match. On the other hand, Breakker and Reed will battle The Usos in a tag team match.

Therefore, it is sufficient to say that Heyman will have his hands full at Wrestlepalooza tonight. If WWE has planned for Heyman to reunite with Lesnar, it will likely pan out in the long run, likley with multiple teases.
