World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns has been absent from WWE programming since his last title defense against Penta on the August 17, 2026 edition of Monday Night Raw in Mexico City. After the title defense, LA Knight attacked Reigns, setting up their title clash at Money in the Bank.
In his absence, the 946 (Royce Keys, Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) has also continued targeting the Bloodline, even abducting Solo Sikoa, who, despite his differences with Reigns and the Bloodline, is still part of their family.
So, will Reigns return tonight to handle the Bloodline business as well as confront Knight for the attack ahead of their showdown in New Orleans?

No, Roman Reigns will not appear on tonight’s September 28 edition of Raw. Reigns’ WWE schedule does not mention the September 28 edition of the show; neither is he advertised or confirmed for tonight’s show.
The OTC’s next appearance is confirmed for the October 5 edition of the Red Brand in St. Louis, Missouri, which will serve as the go-home edition of Money in the Bank 2026.
This absence is definitely going to hurt the build for the MITB clash between Reigns and Knight. Reigns absence is also damaging the Bloodline-946 storyline, as both are centered around Reigns.
What’s in store for Raw tonight?
The September 28 edition of the Red Brand will emanate from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Regarding what’s announced, in the aftermath of 946 abducting Solo Sikoa and leaving him at an undisclosed location, The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) will address 946 tonight.
On the other hand, LA Knight will once again address Reigns ahead of their World Heavyweight title clash at Money in the Bank. Meanwhile, Oba Femi will address the Vision after his return last week, which saw Femi aid Je’Von Evans against the Vision.
Furthermore, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer will address her next challenger as both Liv Morgan and Becky Lynch are staking claim to a title shot.
Roxanne Perez interrupted Lola Vice’s contract signing on Raw, with tensions escalating to the brink of a physical confrontation before General Manager Adam Pearce intervened. Pearce has since announced that Vice and Perez will face each other in a singles match on tonight’s show.
The bout will mark Vice’s first singles match on the WWE main roster. Elsewhere on the card, Big Cass is set to go one-on-one with Dragon Lee.
