Will Roman Reigns return at WWE Money in the Bank 2024 and cost Seth Rollins?

Seth Rollins after a busy WrestleMania 40 weekend, went on a long hiatus from WWE to treat his injured knee. After over two months of hiatus, Rollins recently made his unannounced WWE return on June 17, 2024 episode of Raw. Rollins kicked-off the show and claimed that he is back to reclaim his position by winning the World Heavyweight Championship, and he teased of entering the Money in the Bank ladder match. 

The World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest confronted him and offered him a title shot at Money in the Bank. Seth Rollins vs Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship is made official for the Money in the Bank PLE. However, former Universal Champion Roman Reigns could return and cost Seth Rollins’ in title match at the upcoming PLE. Here we explore all the possibilities.

Roman Reigns to cost Seth Rollins at Money in the Bank 2024?

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have had a long history together since the beginning of their career in WWE as The Shield. Rollins was the one who betrayed Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, initiating the initial split of one of the greatest stables, for his selfishness.

Although more than eight years passed and they reunited on a number of occasions, Roman never forgave the ultimate betrayal of Rollins. At WrestleMania 40, Rollins used the Shield attire to play mind games with Roman, which cost Roman Reigns’ his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

After the title loss, Roman went on a long hiatus. However, Roman’s Wiseman, Paul Heyman made it clear that Reigns is obsessed with Rollins for what he had done for him ten years ago, by breaking The Shield. He blamed Rollins for Roman Reigns’ title loss at WrestleMania 40, saying that is the only story Roman is not finished with. He further teased that Roman would be coming after Rollins to finish his story, rising from the fire like the Phoenix.

As Rollins is back in WWE and will be back to regain his world title, Roman could make his return and cost Rollins his title match at Money in the Bank. This could result in a match at SummerSlam 2024, as a number of rumors and previous advertised events suggest Roman could return before SummerSlam 2024.
