Tonight’s episode of SmackDown carries huge anticipation!
The April 14 episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will serve as the go-home show for the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’ WrestleMania 41 and is set to emanate live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The show will set the final tone for the PLE, which will emanate from the Allegiant Stadium on April 19 & 20.
Andre the Giant Battle Royal, as per tradition, will take place on the go-home show tonight. A six-woman tag team match has been confirmed involving Zelina Vega, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance, who will face the team of Chelsea Green and her Secret Service. WWE Tag Team Champions Street Profits are also set to defend the title against MCMG on the go-home show.
John Cena is also set to make his return on the episode tonight ahead of his Undisputed title clash against Cody Rhodes. This will be their final meeting ahead of the ‘Grandest Stage’ and their first meeting since Rhodes flatlined Cena, humiliating him in front of London fans.
The two stars are set to headline the show on night two with the Undisputed title on the line. The 41st edition of WrestleMania is scheduled to take place over two nights on April 19 and 20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, USA.
However, The Rock is not scheduled to make any appearance on the show as of right now; in fact, he has not made an appearance since the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE, where Cena sold his soul to The Rock and turned heel. Fans have been eagerly waiting for him to return, and they might get their wish on SmackDown, but as of now, nothing is set is stone.
