World Heavyweight title rematch & Rhea Ripley vs Liv Morgan announced for WWE SmackDown (July 11, 2025)

The Blue brand will travel to the Marble City for the July 11 show!

The Stamford-based promotion has a very busy schedule in the second week of July, which includes weekly programs of Raw and SmackDown. The promotion is set to deliver the 2025 edition of The Great American Bash from Atlanta, Georgia, followed by the July edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.

The July 12 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will emanate from Atlanta, and the week will be capped off by the all-women’s PLE, Evolution, which will also emanate from Atlanta on July 13.

However, before the three consecutive events, the promotion will deliver the go-home show of SmackDown on July 11. The July 11 episode of the Blue brand is set to emanate live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Multiple top stars such as Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton, Solo Sikoa, and Chelsea Green, among others, are advertised for the show. The official social media handles of Bridgestone Arena recently announced two major matches for the show.

According to the arena’s social media handles, the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion Gunther is set to defend the title in a rematch against Jey Uso. The two stars will clash in a Street Fight next month in a dark match.

Gunther recently put Jey to sleep in the June 9 episode of Raw to kick off his second title reign and hit back after the humiliation at WrestleMania 41.

On the other hand, a clash between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan has also been announced for the show. Similar to the title clash between Gunther and Jey, this too will battle in a dark match, as both stars are assigned to the Raw brand.

The two stars have a long-running feud, which took centre stage last week in the Queen of the Ring Tournament’s opening match.
