Worrying update on WWE star Piper Niven's injury

The former tag-team champion has been absent from television in recent weeks.
WWE star Piper Niven has been absent from television for over a month, and now the reason has finally been revealed. The Scottish powerhouse, who plays a key role in Chelsea Green’s “Secret Hervice,” is currently sidelined with an undisclosed injury.
Reports from Fightful Select confirm that Niven has been taken off WWE programming as officials await further clarity on the extent of her injury. While the nature of the issue hasn’t been disclosed, there appears to be concern about how severe it may be.
Concerns over Piper Niven’s long-term future
Fightful noted that WWE sources have not shared details regarding the injury or how it was sustained, only that they are unsure how serious it is. Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez echoed those findings, adding that the situation could be significant enough to potentially threaten her in-ring future.
“I can also tell you there’s concern that it could be career-ending,” Alvarez revealed. “So whatever it is, I mean it’s serious. Hopefully she can come back, but she is out due to injury.”
This has cast a shadow over Niven’s recent momentum, as she picked up one of the biggest wins of her career just weeks ago by defeating Charlotte Flair on the August 22 episode of SmackDown. Since then, she has not stepped back inside a WWE ring.
Alba Fyre steps in as a replacement
With Niven out, her Secret Hervice stablemate Alba Fyre has stepped up to continue the rivalry against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. On last week’s SmackDown, Fyre teamed with Chelsea Green to challenge Flair and Bliss for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. Despite a valiant effort, the champions managed to retain their titles.
It’s clear that WWE still intends to move forward with the ongoing program, though Niven’s absence leaves a noticeable gap in the faction. Whether or not she can rejoin her allies in the near future remains uncertain.
Chelsea Green took to Twitter/X to address her partner’s situation in true character, posting a playful but heartfelt message. “Our beloved Head of SecHERity, Slaygent P, is currently out on a top-secret special assignment,” she wrote, before humorously opening up applications for a temporary fill-in.
Even Piper Niven herself responded. While Green kept things lighthearted, the underlying reality is that WWE fans could be without Piper Niven for quite some time.
