WWE WrestleMania 40 to feature 7 matches per night; Potential matches that could be added to Match card

WrestleMania 40 is the upcoming grandest pay-per-view of WWE, which is scheduled to take place on April 6 & 7 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. WWE has booked a total of 10 matches so far, and booked the slots for certain matches.

However, the latest report reveals that WWE are planning to book a few more matches and balance the match count for both nights.

WrestleVotes on X reported that WWE is planning to book four more matches for WrestleMania 40 and would feature seven matches on each night to make it balanced on the main card.

So far, WWE has confirmed the slots for three matches. The Rock & Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins, Tag Team match will feature on the main event of Night 1. The World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins & Drew McIntyre, and the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match (main event) between Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes will feature in the night 2.

Potential matches that could be added to WrestleMania 40

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match- Kabuki Warriors vs Naomi & Bianca Belair

As per the current storyline, Kabuki Warriors might defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Naomi & Bianca Belair. This could be justified with Naomi extending her helping hand to Bayley, & Belair ending her rivalry with Damage CTRL. A potential win for the challengers will make Bianca Belair the Triple Crown Champion.

Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross

Bobby Lashly’s faction has been in a rivalry with Karrion Kross’ Final Testament for a long time, however they haven’t found a result for their match. The leaders of their faction could go head-to-head at WrestleMania 40.

LWO vs LDF

The rivalry between Latino World Order & Legado Del Fantasma is more than a feud between Ray Mysterio & Santos Escobar. It might turn out to be a Eight-Person Tag Team match, where Rey Mysterio, Carlito, Dragon Lee & Zelina Vega will take on Santos Escobar, Angel Garza, Humberto Carillo & Elektra Lopez.

Dominik Mysterio vs Andrade

Andrade teased about having a match against Dominik Mysterio a couple of weeks ago. This could potentially result in a WrestleMania showcase match in the grand event, and could take place in the kick-off or at the opening of the main show.
