The Elimination Chamber PLE will have huge WrestleMania 42 implications.
The road to WWE’s premier event of the year, WrestleMania 42, will go through its last major stop tonight, i.e., WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event. The show is set to take place on Saturday, February 28, at the United Center, which is situated in Chicago, Illinois.
The match card has four major matches set in stone, which could alter the complexion of WrestleMania this year. So, here are five matches that could be made official for WrestleMania 42 after the WWE Elimination Chamber event.
5. Danhausen vs R-Truth
The WWE Universe has seen a mystery crate pop up on both SmackDown and RAW for weeks. At the Elimination Chamber PLE, it will be unboxed and could see popular AEW star Danhausen make his debut after he was recently removed from their active page.
This could set up a unique match between him and fellow comedic star, R-Truth, with an interesting stipulation for WrestleMania 42.
4. AJ Lee vs Becky Lynch
The Elimination Chamber PLE could see hometown favorite, AJ Lee, dethrone Becky Lynch to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion.
However, The Man might not stop and goad Lee into a rematch taking place at WrestleMania 42, this time in a stipulation bout.
3. Dominik Mysterio vs Finn Balor
Finn Balor is likely to lose his scheduled match against CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Elimination Chamber PLE.
This could lead to further tensions between him and Dominik Mysterio, as seen in recent weeks. Balor could end ties with The Judgment Day and challenge Mysterio for his Intercontinental title at The Show of Shows this year.
2. Rhea Ripley vs Jade Cargill
A frontrunner to emerge victorious in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match is Rhea Ripley. The Eradicator could wipe out the entire field inside the chamber to punch her ticket for a WWE Women’s title match against Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.
1. Cody Rhodes vs Drew McIntyre
The Men’s Elimination Chamber match will see top stars and rising talent square off to earn an Undisputed WWE title match at WrestleMania 42.
The physically baterring bout could see Cody Rhodes win it all and get his rematch against Drew McIntyre on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
