Netflix is all set to release Vince McMahon’s documentary series this month!

Vince McMahon is one of the biggest business heads, who has been owning WWE since the 1980’s with Titan Sports. Last year, McMahon sold the shares to Endeavour and merged the company with it to form TKO Groups. With that Endeavour owns the maximum share with 51% and WWE now owns 49% and became the Executive Chairman of the Merger.

However, his new role didn’t last too long as he got accused of a couple of allegations of selling the shares illegally and a sexual allegation from an ex-WWE employee Ms. Janel Grant. This made McMahon step down from his positions in both WWE and TKO Groups.

It made the company free from the McMahon family and McMahon was erased and never got mentioned in WWE Television again. As Vince McMahon is surrounded by controversies, Netflix released the official Trailer of ‘Mr.McMahon’ docuseries. At this stage, backstage reports reveal the internal reactions to McMahon’s docu-series on Netflix.

Vince McMahon’s Netflix Documentary

On September 5, 2024, Netflix on YouTube officially released the trailer of the ‘Mr.McMahon’ documentary series and it is all set to release on September 25, 2024. Following the trailer, Fightful Select reported that the series will feature six episodes and the last episode will cover Vince McMahon’s lawsuit alleging a number of misconduct claims. Ahead of the official release, the wrestling industry reacted to McMahon’s documentary.

According to the WWE sources internally, the documentary will help to take the heat off from the talking heads, who spoke about McMahon before the 2022 allegations came to light.

A talent who worked for a long time in the company said that he doesn’t care about the life and times of McMahon over the legal situation he’s in. “I don’t think at this point anyone should care about the life and times of Vince McMahon above the legal situation he’s in.”

Over a bunch within WWE have spoken off the camera that they are ready to wash their hands of Vince McMahon altogether.

A spokesperson for Janel Grant said that Netflix approached Grant for an interview for this project, but she didn’t feature in it. “Netflix’s documentary group made initial outreach to Janel’s representation for an interview for this project. Despite this, no such interview came to fruition.”

It was also said that McMahon in the trailer claiming that he is “not a bad guy” was included to “increase chatter” about the project.
