Hello everyone and welcome to Khel Now’s LIVE COVERAGE of the WWE Bash in Berlin (August 31, 2024). The start is just a few hours away! I’m your host Akash, and I’ll be keeping you company through what promises a fascinating evening of WWE. Please wait 30 seconds for the Live blog to load.

WWE has returned to the international stage, with the Bash in Berlin being the next Premium Live Event on the European continent.

Following the great success of Clash at the Castle (Scotland) and Money in the Bank (Toronto), and ahead of Survivor Series (Vancouver), Paul Levesque has made it obvious that he intends to take the promotion to a larger worldwide market.

The second PLE in August (there is none in September due to the calendar) will highlight the most recent developments in the several stories that emerged from SummerSlam.

With Roman Reigns’ return, many expected the Bloodline Civil War to be a major theme this round, by WWE brings many championship defenses from numerous current belt holders for now.

WWE Bash in Berlin 2024 confirmed match card

  • Cody Rhodes vs Kein Owens (WWE Undisputed Championship)
  • Randy Orton vs Gunther (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
  • Unholy Union vs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s World Tag Championship)
  • Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest vs Liv Morgan & Dirty Dom Mysterio
  • CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match

Cody Rhodes vs Kein Owens (WWE Undisputed Championship)

When the match was initially announced, I wasn’t sure how these two got placed together. And now, weeks later, I still have the same attitude. WWE is promoting the idea that Kevin Owens would turn heel after losing, as I predicted from the start. However, because WWE corrected the issue, Cody Rhodes may not be affected.

Randy Orton vs Gunther (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Randy Orton appears as the face, but Gunther will be the crowd favorite when the program moves from Europe. Gunther won the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam and was able to retain it for an extended period.

I’m not talking about years, but probably the remainder of 2024. The program should end with Gunther holding the championship aloft.

Unholy Union vs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s World Tag Championship)

When WWE awarded the tag belts to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, I believed we were done with paper champions. Not, since The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) won gold shortly after. If the old champions reclaim the titles, it signifies the title shift from Scotland was exclusively for their fans. I believe the belts change hands, with Belair and Cargill enjoying a solid six-month reign of absolute dominance.

Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest vs Liv Morgan & Dirty Dom Mysterio

If Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley win, is the rivalry over? Same question if Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan win. Let the heels win so that the angle may organically develop and possibly crescendo around the Survivor Series.

CM Punk vs Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match

Drew McIntyre gets his revenge on CM Punk at SummerSlam. But we all knew they’d be battling for months. We believe Punk will win his first televised match since returning to WWE. They should keep traveling until the fall, then choose separate paths as the Royal Rumble approaches. In such a tough match, I hope Punk is not wounded.
