Bianca Belair has provided another update on her health as she continues her extended absence from WWE competition, revealing that she is currently dealing with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both hands.
The former champion has been away from in-ring action since WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, where she suffered a finger injury during a triple-threat match for the Women’s World Championship involving Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley.
Belair previously explained that the injury happened during a triple German suplex sequence from the turnbuckle. Her finger became caught underneath Ripley as the three women landed, resulting in the digit being broken in three different places.
She underwent surgery last February and began rehabilitation the following day. Despite remaining away from active competition, Belair has continued making appearances, including at WrestleMania 42, where she announced her pregnancy.
Bianca Belair reveals symptoms affecting both hands

Belair and her husband, former WWE World Tag Team Champion Montez Ford, have since welcomed their first child together. The couple announced on August 4 that their son, Romeo Leonardo Allen Crawford, had been born.
Amid this new chapter in her life, Belair has now revealed another issue affecting her recovery. Taking to her Instagram Stories, The EST explained that she is experiencing Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in both hands, along with additional symptoms.
She wrote: “No one ever talks about this stuff… currently carpal tunnel in both hands… fingers completely numb, no feeling in surgery finger whatsoever, no grip strength, and now also Mom thumb…wtf lol”
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs when pressure is placed on the median nerve inside the carpal tunnel, a narrow passageway located on the palm side of the wrist.
What is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
The condition can cause symptoms including numbness, tingling, and weakness in the hand and fingers. Wrist structure, certain health conditions, and repetitive hand movements can all contribute to the problem.
Treatment can often reduce symptoms and help restore normal hand function, although the appropriate approach depends on the individual and the underlying cause.
For Belair, the latest setback adds another complication to an already lengthy recovery. With her family also adjusting to life with a newborn, fans will now wait for further updates on when The EST could eventually return to WWE competition.
