Ashley Elizabeth Fliehr widely known as Charlotte Flair is an American professional wrestler. She is currently signed with WWE and competes on the SmackDown brand.

Charlotte Flair is Ric Flair’s daughter, making her a second-generation professional wrestler. She made her professional wrestling debut alongside her father in World Championship Wrestling in 1993. She began training with WWE in 2012, and the following year, she made her NXT debut.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI) named her Rookie of the Year in 2014, and in 2015, she was promoted to the WWE main roster. In 2016, PWI readers named Flair Woman of the Year and the Top Female Professional Wrestler.

Charlotte Flair is a 14-time women’s world champion, having held the WWE Divas Championship once when she was the final holder, the WWE (Raw) Women’s Championship six times when she was the inaugural holder, and the SmackDown Women’s Championship seven times, which is now known as the Women’s World Championship.

She has also won the NXT Women’s Championship twice and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship once, establishing herself as a Triple Crown and Grand Slam champion.

Charlotte Flair won the Royal Rumble event in 2020. In October 2016, she and Sasha Banks became the first women to headline a WWE pay-per-view event. Her showdown against Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35 in 2019 was the first time a women’s match headlined at WM.

Tattoos

Charlotte Flair has six tattoos over her body. Charlotte has two outline hearts drawn right above her waist. Charlotte’s first tattoo was done alongside her best friend, Ashley Heard, when she was younger. She also gets her ex-husband Riki’s name tattooed below her waist. Flair had a cross drawn on the right side of her belly with the words “Reider” on it. This tattoo is an homage to Charlotte’s younger brother, Reid Flair, who died on March 29, 2013.

Charlotte Flair has been married three times throughout her career. She is presently married to Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza, called Andrade El Idolo. She was formerly married to Riki Johnson from 2010 to 2013 and Tom Latimer from 2013 to 2015.

Kael Anderson worked as a cupid for the now-married pair, introducing Andrade to Flair. The two met at WWE and had their first date at the WWE catering. Andrade said he was hesitant to ask Flair out since they were coworkers and she had a very powerful aura and a great WWE career. However, Andrade overcame his anxieties and asked Flair out.

Their first successful date led to several more dates, and the two fell head over heels for each other. On May 27, 2022, the couple exchanged vows.

Controversies

On September 5, 2008, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Flair was arrested for attacking a police officer during a disagreement between her then-boyfriend and her father. She pled guilty to a lesser offense and was sentenced to 45 days in prison, which was later reduced to supervised probation and a $200 fine.

Lesser Known Facts

Charlotte Flair takes pleasure in her genetic superiority over every other woman on the roster. Flair has proven that via her athletic exploits and outstanding matches, but wrestling is not her only athletic interest.

Flair earned four NCHSAA A-State volleyball championships at Providence High School in North Carolina. Her passion for volleyball continued throughout her collegiate years at Appalachian State University.
