The Eradicator survived a powerhouse challenge from Jade Cargill and outside interference from Charlotte Flair to remain WWE Women’s Champion in Turin.
Rhea Ripley’s reign as WWE Women’s Champion remains intact after a hard-fought battle against Jade Cargill at WWE Clash in Italy.
In a contest filled with momentum swings, power moves, and late-match drama, Ripley weathered one of the toughest challenges of her championship run before putting Cargill away with a decisive Riptide.
The match showcased the physical dominance of both women from the opening moments. Cargill arrived determined to prove she belonged at the top of the women’s division, while Ripley entered with the confidence of a champion who has built her reputation on overcoming elite competition.
Jade Cargill controls the action with her power offense
The challenger wasted little time making her presence felt. After breaking free from an early collar-and-elbow tie-up, Cargill stunned Ripley with a knee lift and an uppercut before slamming the champion to the mat. She even paused to perform push-ups in front of Ripley, a display of confidence that drew a slap from the champion moments later.
The action quickly spilt outside the ring, where Cargill continued her assault. She countered Ripley’s offense and smashed her face-first into the apron before connecting with a modified Alarm Clock knee strike from the apron. With the Turin crowd firmly behind “Mami” and chanting “Let’s go Mami!”, Cargill soaked in the boos while maintaining complete control.
Back inside the ring, the challenger targeted Rhea Ripley with stomps, rope-assisted choking, corner attacks, and a series of powerful suplexes. Every time Ripley attempted to rally, Cargill had an answer. A straight suplex earned a near fall, while a reverse chinlock slowed the pace and further frustrated the champion.
Ripley finally found an opening when she avoided a charging Cargill, sending the challenger crashing into the ring post. That mistake allowed the champion to build momentum with short-arm lariats, a German suplex, and a spectacular dive to the floor.
Charlotte Flair’s arrival changes the complexion of the match
The closing stages turned into a dramatic battle of endurance. Rhea Ripley connected with a missile dropkick and later followed a Razor’s Edge with a shining wizard that nearly secured the victory. However, Cargill refused to stay down and continued to answer every challenge with power and resilience.
After countering several of Ripley’s attempts, Cargill landed a huge Blue Thunder Driver that brought her within inches of capturing the championship. Even a back superplex from Ripley failed to keep the challenger down, leaving the champion visibly frustrated.
The match took another twist when B-FAB and Michin appeared at the ringside. Their presence briefly shifted Ripley’s attention away from the action, creating an opportunity for Cargill. The challenger appeared ready to capitalize, but another familiar face soon entered the equation.
Charlotte Flair emerged and immediately became a factor in the outcome. When Cargill connected with Jaded, Flair ensured Ripley’s foot found the bottom rope before the referee could complete the count. The interference prevented what could have been a title-changing moment and kept the champion alive.
Back inside the ring, Rhea Ripley regained control with a crushing headbutt. Sensing the opportunity to end the fight, she hoisted Cargill up and delivered the Riptide. This time, there was no escape, as Ripley secured the three-count to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.
The victory keeps Ripley firmly atop the women’s division, but Charlotte Flair’s involvement suggests her championship future may have become far more complicated.
Result: Rhea Ripley def. Jade Cargill via pinfall to retain the WWE Women’s Championship.
