The WWE PLE saw some major takeaways for the fans.
The TKO-led company, WWE, produced a blockbuster Premium Live Event, Crown Jewel 2026. The event emanated from The Venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, tonight. It saw the crowning of new Crown Jewel Champions after highly captivating matches.
At the same time, the WWE PLE saw major shockers that have rocked the foundation of the Stamford-based promotion. With Crown Jewel in the books, here are five takeaways from the event:
Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere
1. Why is WWE rehashing the same storyline for Tiffany Stratton?
Tiffany Stratton shocked the world by ending her friendship with Chelsea Green and cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase to win the WWE Women’s title from her. This recreated the same storyline WWE did with her and Nia Jax after her first MITB win.
There is a possibility that WWE might not be seeing the confidence in Green as the top champion and decided to put the belt on Stratton, who has seemed cocky and confident, unlike the underdog portrayal of Green.
However, this has attracted major negative comments for WWE and has been called out for feeding them the same storyline again.
2. Chelsea Green deserved so much better
The WWE Universe exploded when Chelsea Green won the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2026. They gave a similar reaction when she defeated Liv Morgan to win the Crown Jewel title. Despite that, WWE chose to take away her moment with Tiffany Stratton’s cash-in.
Honestly, she is a marquee attraction and should have had her moment at Crown Jewel instead of being robbed of it.
3. What’s next for Randy Orton?
Randy Orton took a hellacious beating in his Last Man Standing match against Cody Rhodes and got hit by his own punt kick, which knocked him out. With The Viper losing the bout, he may take time off for a while.
The Viper could resurface with the onset of the road to WrestleMania 43 and then be inserted into a major storyline, potentially going after his 15th World title.
4. Should Cody Rhodes go for the World title again?

‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes unleashed his vicious side to defeat Randy Orton in the Last Man Standing match. WWE might have booked Rhodes for such a remarkable win to set him back in the World Championship picture.
However, he should explore other directions, like feuding with a rising star, to build him up, as fans seem tired of seeing him in the World Championship storyline and want him to prove himself as the real QB1 of WWE.
5. Sami Zayn has become a bona fide main event star
Undisputed Champion Sami Zayn left everything he had in the ring when he collided with Roman Reigns for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship.
The Undisputed WWE Champion’s performance got him the respect of The OTC, who hugged him after the match. After witnessing his match and Reigns’ endorsement, there is no doubt Zayn has proven he is a top player in WWE now and deserves more respect from fans.
Who won the main event at Crown Jewel 2026?
Roman Reigns defeated Sami Zayn to win the main event of the PLE in Riyadh.
Who won the 2026 Crown Jewel titles at the PLE?
Chelsea Green won the women’s title, but Tiffany cashed in the MITB contract to pin Green and become the new WWE Women’s Champion. While Roman Reigns won the men’s title at the PLE.
What is the next PLE after Crown Jewel?
The next WWE Premium Live Event (PLE) after Crown Jewel is Survivor Series: WarGames, which takes place on November 28, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
