The upcoming PLE will be held in Saudi Arabia
WWE Crown Jewel is the starting point of an entirely novel tradition for the professional wrestling promotion. Raw and SmackDown’s world champions will face off to determine the inaugural Crown Jewel champions in the men’s and women’s divisions.WWE returns to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Saturday for its sixth Crown Jewel pay-per-view event. WWE’s chief content officer, Paul Levesque, introduced the new Crown Jewel belts at WWE Bad Blood on October 5.
Levesque announced two yearly bouts at Crown Jewel. Raw’s world heavyweight champion and women’s world champion will face SmackDown’s undisputed WWE champion and WWE women’s champion, respectively. The victors will be declared Crown Jewel champions.

Men’s Crown Jewel Championship- Gunther vs Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes and Gunther are expected to headline Crown Jewel. Rhodes won the championship after defeating Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 in April and he most recently defended it against Solo Sikoa in a steel cage match on SmackDown on September 13.
Gunther won the championship from Damian Priest at SummerSlam in August and recently defended it against Sami Zayn on the October 7 episode of Raw. Notably, Rhodes and Gunther are both in their maiden WWE world championship reigns.
Women’s Crown Jewel Championship- Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan
Nia Jax and Liv Morgan are taking a break from their long-running rivalry. Jax and Morgan won the belts at SummerSlam by defeating Bayley and Rhea Ripley, respectively, and went on to retain their titles in Bad Blood rematches.
Jax won the Queen of the Ring tournament the previous time she was in Saudi Arabia, earning her a SummerSlam championship opportunity.
LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade (U.S Title)
Andrade and Carmelo Hayes were set to finish their unofficial best-of-seven series for a crack at the United States title.
But LA Knight acted poorly as the special guest referee, resulting in a no-contest after striking both men with BFTs. SmackDown general manager Nick Aldis penalized Knight by scheduling a triple-threat championship bout at Crown Jewel.
Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs IYO SKY and Kairi Sane vs Piper Niven and Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson (Women’s Tag Titles)
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will defend their championship against Damage CTRL’s Kairi Sane and IYO SKY, NXT’s Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson, and Chelsea Green and Piper Niven in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match at WWE Crown Jewel.
After the four tandems fought for several weeks, General Managers Nick Aldis, Adam Pearce, and Ava banded together to stage a Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE championship.
Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs Bronson Reed
After Bronson Reed took Seth Rollins out for many weeks with a savage attack, it was evident Rollins would seek retribution upon his return.
That happened when Rollins assaulted Reed, costing him the “Last Monster Standing” bout against Braun Strowman. Since then, Rollins and Reed have demanded a bout and assaulted each other multiple times, forcing Adam Pearce to announce the match for Crown Jewel.
Kevin Owens vs Randy Orton
Randy Orton demanded a bout with Kevin Owens when the prizefighter turned against his old tag team partner. WWE’s chief content officer Paul Levesque was originally hesitant to give Orton the bout, noting Owens’ savagery and Orton’s age. Orton said he hadn’t been hotheaded and asked Levesque what he would do in Orton’s situation. Levesque caved in and booked the match.
Roman Reigns & The Usos vs The Bloodline
For years, The Bloodline storyline has dominated WWE television. That story will continue at Crown Jewel, when the newly reunited Usos join up with Roman Reigns to face Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa in a six-man tag team match.
The match does not appear to be close to resolving the continuing quarrel between the two factions, but the winner will have a significant advantage moving forward.
