Kevin Owens decimates Randy Orton, Seth Rollins wins & more!

The promotion hosted the 2024  Crown Jewel PLE on November 2, 2024, at the Mohammed Abdo Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

WWE booked a total of seven matches for the show featuring some of the major stars in the company. Get to know what happened at the PLE, as we have the complete summary, highlights, results, and winner’s list for the 2024 Crown Jewel PLE. Down below are WWE Crown Jewel highlights and results.

WWE Crown Jewel 2024 Summary and Highlights

Roman Reigns & The Usos vs The Bloodline

Solo Sikoa walked into the ring accompanied by Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga. The crowd erupted with OTC chants. Roman Reigns made his entrance alongside Jimmy Uso as the crowd exploded with OTC chants.

‘Main Event’ Jey Uso then made his entrance while Reigns and Jimmy waited inside the ring. As the action began, Jey tagged Jimmy in, and they blasted Tama Tonga with a double elbow drop.

Tonga tagged in Fatu, who took back control against The Usos. Sikoa yelled at the rest of the Bloodline as they found themselves on the back foot in the match. Jey took down Tonga, prompting chants of “We want Roman” to erupt.

Reigns asked Jey for the tag, but Jey tagged in Jimmy instead. Jey, Jimmy, and Reigns argued while Tonga attacked Jimmy from behind. Fatu returned to the ring and nearly decapitated Jimmy.

Sikoa called for the tag, entered the ring, and stared at Reigns. Jimmy tagged Jey back in as Jey landed a big right hand on Tonga to assert control. Jey rallied the crowd and went for the pin, but Tonga kicked out at two. Back in the ring, Fatu took control of the action as he and Sikoa double-teamed Jey.

Jey tried to fight out of The Bloodline Corner but failed in his attempt. As Tonga mocked the crowd, Jey took out Tonga and rallied to make the tag. The OTC entered the ring to face Sikoa, as they collided in the squared ring.

Reigns and Sikoa exchanged blows, with Reigns dropping Sikoa with a closeline. Reigns pointed to the sky amid OTC chants and prepared for the Superman Punch.

Reigns measured Sikoa, but Sikoa caught him. Still, The OTC landed the Superman Punch and went for the spear. Sikoa countered with a spike and went for the pinfall, but Jimmy saved the day for his team. Jey Uso and Jacob Fatu came face to face, with Jey kicking Fatu out of the ring.

Jey attempted a suicide dive, but Fatu caught him and landed a headbutt. Inside the ring, Reigns delivered a Superman Punch and aimed for the Spear but was distracted by The Bloodline members.

Fatu took out Reigns and then dove outside the ring to take out The Usos. Sikoa got back to his feet and landed two Samoan spikes to secure the win against The OTC and The Usos. The Bloodline stood tall in the ring as Sikoa stared at Reigns. Reigns tried to fight back after the match but found himself outnumbered by The Bloodline.

Sikoa and his faction cleared the announce table, intent on destroying Reigns. Jey saved Reigns but was caught in the crossfire as Sikoa placed a steel chair around his neck.

Sami Zayn arrives

Sami Zayn’s music hit as he walked into the ring, coming face to face with The Bloodline. Sikoa attempted to talk to him and reason with him. Solo then called Zayn in for a hug, and the arena filled with ‘Sami Uso’ chants.

Zayn went for the hug but turned down the invitation and delivered a belly-to-belly suplex. Reigns and Jimmy returned to the ring, regaining control.

Sikoa found himself cornered as the OG Bloodline stared down their prey. Reigns went for a Superman punch and at the same time Zayn went for a Helluva kick against Sikoa but Sikoa ducked underneath.

Zayn accidentally kicked Reigns as Sikoa rolled out of the ring. Jimmy and Zayn argued in the ring as Jey tried to calm them down while Reigns looked dazed and confused.

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs IYO SKY and Kairi Sane vs Piper Niven and Chelsea Green vs Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson (Women’s Tag Titles)

Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill faced off against Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane, as well as Piper Niven and Chelsea Green, and Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson as the bell rang. Sky and Belair kicked off the action inside the ring. The Meta Girls took control of the fight as Jackson brutalized Green. Sane tagged herself in and took out Jackson.

Sane delivered a spear to Jackson and tagged in Sky for some double-team action. Piper Niven stepped into the ring and took out everyone. Belair then took out Niven with a high-flying maneuver. Cargill and Legend battled in the middle of the ring as both stars fought for dominance.

Damage CTRL took out Green and Niven with back-to-back moonsaults from the top rope. Amid chants of ‘This is Awesome,’ the fatal four-way match continued. Cargill landed Jaded on Green and went for the cover, but Sky rushed in to break the count.

In the final moments of the match, Cargill delivered a doomsday device on Niven while Bianca went for the cover to retain their Tag Team Titles in the fatal four-way match at the Saudi PLE.

Seth Rollins vs Bronson Reed

The Visionary walked into the arena as the promo for their match faded out. Reed made his entrance shortly after. Rollins wasted no time as he stepped outside the ring and sprinted towards Reed.

The two began brawling outside the ring, with Rollins taking out Reed by landing a suicide dive. The match hadn’t even started yet! Reed caught Rollins mid-air and threw him onto steel chairs, then tossed Rollins into the steel chairs area.

Finally, both men were in the ring as the bell rang, signaling the start of the match. Reed landed the Tsunami on Rollins and went for another Tsunami, but Rollins dodged it, delivering a curb stomp and going for the cover.

Bronson kicked out at two as the match continued. Reed and Rollins battled on the ring post, with Rollins pushing Reed onto the mat before going for a frog splash.

Reed kicked out at just one count, leaving Seth frustrated. Reed easily countered Rollins and delivered a belly driver, but Seth kicked out at two. Reed attacked Rollins with the steel steps, but Rollins ducked, causing Reed to crash onto the steps.

Rollins hit a curb stomp and then went into the ring. Reed crawled back in as Rollins delivered another curb stomp to the Monster. To seal the victory, Rollins landed a super stomp from the top rope and went for the cover to bag the win.

After the match, Rollins was visibly surprised to see a battered and bloodied Reed standing in the ring, calling him out after all the punishment he had endured. Rollins warned him that the same thing would happen again if Reed came for him.

Women’s Crown Jewel Championship- Nia Jax vs Liv Morgan

The bell rang, signaling the start of the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship match. Jax and Morgan began the match, with Jax dropping Morgan with a headbutt. Morgan regained control of the match by targeting Nia Jax’s left leg.

Jax responded with a Samoan drop but went for an unsuccessful cover afterward. Tiffany Stratton walked into the arena as Jax and Morgan had taken each other out.

Jax confronted Tiffany, asking what she was doing with the MITB briefcase. Morgan tried to capitalize on the distraction, but Jax regained control and told Tiffany to get out of the arena.

Stratton ran back near the ring as the crowd erupted, and the action continued inside. Stratton climbed the ring post, but Raquel appeared to grab the briefcase.

Dominik Mysterio also showed up to support Morgan ringside. Jax delivered a leg drop and dragged Morgan into the corner, going for an annihilator. Dominik created a distraction as Raquel hit Jax with the briefcase, allowing Morgan to land Oblivion and go for the cover.

Morgan became the Crown Jewel Champion as Triple H presented her with the title after the match. Morgan made history as the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. She celebrated her victory as fireworks lit up the arena amidst the fanfare.

Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens was the first man to make his way into the arena for his grudge match against The Viper. Owens wore a T-shirt featuring Randy’s father, Bob Orton. Orton then made his entrance, and the Saudi crowd erupted, singing along to his theme song.

The loudness meter in the arena exceeded 100 dB as The Viper made his entrance. Owens interrupted Orton’s entrance, attacking him with a steel chair on the injured knee.

The two battled outside the ring even though the match hadn’t officially started. Orton landed a side drop on Owens at the announcer’s desk. Orton limped back into the ring as Owens unloaded on The Viper.

The official tried to stop Owens, who then grabbed the steel chair. Owens delivered a stunner to the official. Seizing the opportunity, Orton regained control and dropped Owens onto the announcer’s desk once more.

Back in the ring, Orton grabbed the steel chair and went to attack Kevin but was stopped by a WWE official. Owens gouged Orton’s eyes, but Randy rallied back to land a DDT on the ropes.

Raw & SmackDown GMs, Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis entered the ring to calm the situation. Out of nowhere, Orton hit an RKO on Adam Pearce. Orton and Owens battle it out near the equipment area as KO attacks Orton with a steel slab.

Owens then climbs up into the stands and lands a flying elbow through the table on The Viper as crowds lose their mind after witnessing the spectacle at the 2024 Crown Jewel. The match ends a non-finish as the match was never officially started. Orton and Owens lay lifeless in the ring as officials checked on them. The show then rolled into a commercial break.

LA Knight vs Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade (U.S Title)

The match was underway under triple threat rules, with the first man to secure a pinfall or submission winning the match as per the rules.

Hayes and Andrade started the action while Knight observed from the sidelines. Knight then manhandled the challengers, appearing in control of the match.

Andrade executed an inverted Spanish fly, taking out Hayes. He climbed to the top rope but missed his first moonsault. Andrade then connected with a standing moonsault, but Hayes interrupted the pin. The challengers went up top, where a Spanish fly was countered into a power slam.

In the final moments of the match, Hayes attempted to deliver a facebuster, but Knight intercepted and landed a double BFT on both Hayes and Andrade, successfully retaining his United States Championship in the Triple Threat match at Crown Jewel PLE.

#1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match Announced

WWE announced the #1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship between Dominik Mysterio, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, and Sheamus for the upcoming Monday Night Raw in Riyadh.

The winner of the ‘Fatal 4-Way Match’ would earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Title against the reigning champ Gunther.

Men’s Crown Jewel Championship- Cody Rhodes vs Gunther

The main event match for the inaugural Crown Jewel Championship was underway as the bell rang. Amid ‘This is Awesome’ chants from the crowd, Rhodes delivered a superplex from the top rope to The Ring General.

Rhodes rallied back with the help of the ropes, calling for Gunther to face him. He started to build momentum, landing chops on Gunther.

Rhodes executed a Cody Cutter and went for the cover, but Gunther kicked out at two despite the punishment. Gunther locked in the sleeper hold again, but Cody managed to make his way back to the ropes.

The Ring General adjusted his grip, tightening the choke. The official checked Cody’s arm, but The American Nightmare responded to the first drop. Cody broke the choke and aimed for the crossroads, but he was too exhausted to capitalize on the opportunity.

In the final moments of the match, Cody went for a ‘Super Cody Cutter,’ but Gunther locked in the choke on the Undisputed Champ. Rhodes countered the choke and managed to go for the pin while still trapped in it, securing the victory and winning the inaugural title.

Cody Rhodes became the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. After the match, Gunther showed respect to Rhodes by shaking his hand and congratulating the new champion.

Triple H entered the ring to present the Crown Jewel Title to the winner in the main event of the Crown Jewel 2024 PLE, The American Nightmare.

Cody hoisted both titles as Crown Jewel 2024 came to a close amid fireworks. Liv Morgan joined Cody, and the two celebrated their victories with their new Crown Jewel Titles as the show went off-air.
