The 2024 Draft is set to kick off soon
With the new era of Paul Levesque just starting, there would be no harm in saying that WWE draft for this year can be the greatest of all time. While nobody is sure what all is planned for this year’s draft, one can obviously say that WWE will try to bring the best NXT stars into the main roster.
With certain superstars such as Dijak, and Williams who are doing great in NXT, WWE will have more such wrestlers who can get a call for the main roster. To reduce the confusion regarding the same, here are 7 wrestlers from NXT who can get a call-up to the main roster in this year’s Draft.
Dijak
It’s unfortunate when talented wrestlers don’t get the opportunity to shine due to poor creative decisions or mismanagement. Dijak certainly showed his potential in NXT, displaying a diverse skill set that made him stand out. Being pigeonholed into a gimmick like T-Bar within Retribution likely didn’t allow him to fully showcase his abilities or connect with the audience in the way he could have.
In NXT, he had the chance to demonstrate his range, blending power and agility in a way that captured fans’ attention. Hopefully, he’ll have another chance to showcase his talents on the main roster, perhaps with a more thoughtfully crafted character and storyline that better aligns with his abilities and potential.
Dragunov
Ilja Dragunov’s intensity and emotional investment in his matches are truly captivating. His in-ring style, characterized by hard-hitting offense and exceptional selling, has already earned him a devoted following in NXT. With his skill set and experience, it’s only a matter of time before he’s called up to the main roster.
His ability to draw fans into his matches, combined with his physicality and intensity, make him a standout performer who could easily make an impact on the larger stage of WWE programming. Whether as a heroic underdog or a dominant force, Dragunov has the potential to excel and become a top star on the main roster after WrestleMania 40.
Trick Williams
Trick Williams has indeed made significant strides since his arrival in NXT, evolving into a charismatic and skilled performer. His partnership with Carmelo Hayes has been instrumental in his development, allowing him to showcase his talents both in the ring and on the microphone.
His popularity with the NXT audience is a testament to his ability to connect with fans, and his recent appearance on SmackDown demonstrated that he has the potential to make an impact on a larger stage. While his departure from NXT would undoubtedly be felt by the fanbase, his readiness for a higher profile on the main roster shouldn’t be overlooked.
The feud with Carmelo Hayes has further highlighted Williams’ abilities, showcasing his prowess as one of the top wrestlers in NXT. With his stock rising, it would be wise for WWE to capitalize on his momentum and give him the opportunity to shine on the main roster while he’s hot.
Baron Corbin
Baron Corbin’s return to NXT has indeed been a refreshing change of pace for both him and the fans. Stepping away from the main roster allowed him to rediscover his passion and showcase his talents in a new light. While his previous portrayal as “happy Corbin” received criticism, it’s clear that he’s capable of much more.
Corbin’s versatility as both a wrestler and a character performer makes him a valuable asset to WWE. His partnership with Bron Breakker has been intriguing, and continuing it on the main roster could provide both of them with new opportunities for growth and success.
With his rejuvenated persona and renewed sense of purpose, now could indeed be the perfect time to transition Corbin back to the main roster. Fans have had time to miss him, and with the right creative direction, he could once again establish himself as a prominent figure in WWE programming.
Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria’s ascent as the NXT Women’s Champion has been impressive, showcasing her potential as a top talent in WWE’s women’s division. While her character and promo skills are still developing, her in-ring ability is undeniable.
Her encounter with Becky Lynch demonstrated her capability to compete at the highest level, and working with more experienced women could further elevate her skills and confidence. Providing her with opportunities to showcase her talents against established stars post-WrestleMania could indeed inject new energy into WWE’s women’s division.
Valkyria’s reign as NXT Women’s Champion has already garnered attention, and capitalizing on her momentum by allowing her to face off against top stars on the main roster would be a wise move. With the right guidance and opportunities, she has the potential to become a major player in WWE’s women’s division for years to come.
Tony D’Angelo
Tony D’Angelo has certainly made a splash in NXT with his unique character and strong mic skills. His gimmick stands out in the current landscape of WWE, offering something fresh and distinct that could potentially resonate well with a broader audience on the main roster.
With his charismatic presence and ability to captivate audiences on the microphone, D’Angelo could easily transition to the main roster and find success, much like Austin Theory has. His character’s uniqueness would provide a fresh dynamic, and his skills could help him stand out in a crowded field.
Roxanne Perez
Roxanne Perez has indeed showcased remarkable talent and potential since her arrival in WWE. Her ability to connect with audiences, both in the ring and on the microphone, highlights her versatility as a performer.
While currently portraying a heel character in NXT, Perez possesses the qualities that could make her a compelling babyface on the main roster. Her size and fighting style lend themselves well to the underdog narrative, allowing her to rally fans behind her in moments of adversity.
Given her accomplishments in NXT and her readiness for new challenges, a call-up to the main roster would indeed be a well-deserved push for Perez. Transitioning to the larger stage could provide her with the platform to further showcase her talents and make a significant impact in WWE’s women’s division.
While nobody can determine what Triple H think, this is what we think about the calls up. It will be understand to follow both Smackdown and Raw to see how the draft goes. While WWE is portraying NXT just like Raw and Smackdown. It’s important for a wrestler to get the main roster call up at least once in their lifetime.
