The Women’s Intercontinental Championship was on the line in a thrilling triple-threat match at WWE Evolution 2025, where reigning champion Becky Lynch defended her title against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.
The match opened with a powerful message from Stephanie McMahon, who made a special appearance and spoke to Joe Tessitore. “Get ready to be inspired. Because we get to do it all over again,” she said, proudly highlighting how far the women’s division had come since the first Evolution.
All three women went for each other
The match kicked off with Bayley taking the fight to both opponents. She knocked Valkyria aside early, squaring off with Lynch in a series of quick counters. Valkyria quickly returned and injected her trademark energy into the bout. All three competitors delivered fast-paced offense, constantly breaking each other’s momentum.
Lynch took control after sending Bayley into the barricade outside the ring, isolating her for a series of near falls. But Bayley refused to stay down. Once Valkyria rejoined the action, it shifted again. The “Role Model” ignited the crowd with high-impact offense on both rivals, nearly ending the match multiple times.

One of the match’s biggest highlights came when Lynch locked Bayley in the Disarm-Her from the top rope. Just as she seemed to have the advantage, Valkyria launched herself off the turnbuckle, taking both women out with a spectacular aerial move. Valkyria nearly stole the match with a pin attempt, but Lynch broke it just in time.
The action stayed chaotic as Bayley hit her finisher on Valkyria, but Lynch broke it up. Valkyria followed with Nightwing on Lynch, but Bayley saved the match again. All three Superstars came within seconds of victory.
With Valkyria and Bayley going back and forth late in the bout, Lynch took advantage of the chaos. She slipped in at the right moment and pinned Bayley clean to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Championship in a high-octane finish. It was a war from start to finish and a match worthy of the Evolution stage.
