Jordynne Grace wasted no time asserting her physical dominance at Evolution 2025. From the opening bell, the powerhouse challenger controlled the tempo, tossing Jacy Jayne around with relative ease. Grace’s confidence was evident; her sights were set on steamrolling her way to the NXT Women’s Championship.

However, Jayne wasn’t about to be bullied out of her title reign. The champion leaned on her experience and resilience, absorbing the early damage and using her ring awareness to stay out of danger.

Each time Grace geared up for a big blow, Jayne managed to slip away, staying just one step ahead. Despite the strength differential, Jayne’s bravado and constant trash talk seemed to frustrate Grace and chip away at her focus.

Momentum shifts after top-rope encounter

As Grace scaled the top rope, Jayne seized her opportunity. Meeting Grace at the summit, she countered with a crushing superplex, followed by a stiff running knee that nearly ended the match. With the crowd on edge, Jayne went for the cover, but Grace kicked out at two.

The tide appeared to be turning for Jayne, and that’s when outside interference crept in. Fallon Henley ran down to ringside with the NXT Women’s Championship in hand. Before she could use it, Blake Monroe appeared and intercepted the belt. What followed was chaos—Grace bounced off the ropes, and Monroe shockingly struck her in the back with the title belt while the referee’s attention was elsewhere.

Jacy Jayne retains after a controversial finish

With Grace reeling, Jayne struck with a devastating boot to the face and hooked the leg for the pin. The referee counted three, and Jacy Jayne retained her NXT Women’s Championship in controversial fashion.

Monroe casually entered the ring, handing the title to Jayne and walking off, leaving everyone wondering if this was premeditated.

Jordynne Grace’s arrival in WWE was expected to shift the NXT landscape, and while her strength was on full display, political games and ringside trickery proved to be too much on this night.
