WWE Hall of Famer calls for world title to be on line for Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar 3 at SummerSlam 2026

The two Heavyweights will meet in a rubber match at SummerSlam.
‘The Ruler’ Oba Femi shocked the world by defeating Brock Lesnar with ease at WrestleMania 42. However, the Beast Incarnate retaliated with a sneak attack to set up the rematch at Clash in Italy. This time around, Lesnar managed to hit seven F5s to pin Femi and equalize the head-to-head score at 1-1.
With Lesnar absent from the picture, Femi entered the 2026 King of the Ring tournament, eventually reaching the finals, where he defeated Jey Uso to win the tournament, which also granted him a title shot at SummerSlam against a Champion of his choosing.
Before Femi could announce his pick for SummerSlam, Brock returned once again and attacked Femi to set up the rubber match, which this time around will be a Hell in a Cell match.
Despite General Manager Adam Pearce trying to make Femi realize that giving up the World title shot is not an ideal thing. However, Femi remained determined that the championship could wait, insisting that settling the feud was his top priority. Pearce ultimately agreed to his request, booking the rubber match.
Booker T believes a title would raise the stakes for the trilogy
WWE Hall of Famer Booker T believes that a World title would raise the stakes for the trilogy showdown between the two.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer said that in his opinion, the trilogy would be better if there were a title at stake. He added that being the Champion will not make Oba a favorite against Brock, as fans will still wonder if Brock will win the title one more time.
Booker T said that if it’s up to him, he will definitely book the match with a title on the line for SummerSlam. A title on the line will definitely raise the stakes for the trilogy; however, Femi has given up his World title opportunity and will likely not be able to fight for the title before SummerSlam.
“I think the trilogy would be better if Oba had the championship and Brock was challenging, If he’s the champion, he’s a champion, but that doesn’t make him the favorite.
People are still going to be wondering if Brock Lesnar is going to win the championship one more time. I think that’s the build-up for me, if I’m booking it.”
