The current U.S. President was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2013.

The current U.S. President, Donald Trump, is one of the figures inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Back in 2013, then–WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon welcomed him into the Celebrity Wing during a ceremony held at Madison Square Garden in New York.

However, according to WWE legend Jesse Ventura, the induction is ‘a tragedy.’ During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ventura also noted that Trump never earned the induction and pointed to his friend Ken Patera as an example of someone who deserves the honor more.

Jesse Ventura claims Donald Trump was inducted in exchange for halting an investigation into Vince McMahon

During the appearance, Ventura was shown a WrestleMania 20 clip where he suggested that the country might benefit from having a wrestler in the White House. Piers Morgan pointed out that Trump has since been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Ventura stated that Trump doesn’t deserve to be in the Hall of Fame; instead, he named his friend and Olympian, Kenny Patera. He also listed the accolades that make a wrestler worthy of the honor, something which Trump never accomplished.

“Trump being a Hall of Famer is a tragedy, This guy has never been in the ring. I got a good friend, Ken Patera, Olympian, first man to overhead press 500 pounds, 25 years in the wrestling business. Kenny Patera is not in the Hall of Fame. Donald Trump does not belong in the wrestling Hall of Fame. He never earned it.

You know what I had to do to get in the pro wrestling Hall of Fame? At one point in my career, I wrestled 63 consecutive nights in a row, That’s how you get in the Hall of Fame.”

Ventura also clarified that he was talking about himself, as he was the only real former wrestler, not Trump. Ventura then dropped a massive claim, stating that Trump was inducted in exchange for halting a sexual investigation into Vince McMahon.

“When I was referring to putting a wrestler in the White House, I was talking about me, not him, I was the former governor of Minnesota. I’m the only real former wrestler. I don’t include him. He’s only in the Hall of Fame because he stopped an investigation against Vince McMahon, sexual stuff.”

Does the claim hold any truth?

However, multiple fans and pundits were quick to call out Ventura, especially as the timelines for his claims don’t match. Trump became President in 2016, while he was inducted in 2013.

Even Dave Meltzer of WON chimed in, stating that even with a minimal look, one can figure out that it is completely impossible.

Jesse Ventura believes Donald Trump faked the assassination attempt

During the conversation, Ventura had a lot of things to say about the U.S President, calling him a “draft dodger” and even challenging him to get into the ring. Ventura even called the assassination attempt on Trump in the lead-up to the presidential elections in 2024, was fake.

During the conversation, when Ventura stated that Trump doesn’t have the guts to step into the ring against him, Morgan brought up the assassination attempt on Trump, stating that when Trump was shot, he got back up, saying,  “fight, fight, fight.”

Ventura responded with a wrestling term, stating, “Oh yeah, right, right, right. You ever hear of a blade job?” Morgan pressed on the issue, asking if Ventura is claiming the assassination attempt was fake.

“I don’t know. Where’s his scar today?” Ventura said and refused to back down, despite Morgan claiming that someone die behind Trump in that rally.

Morgan remarked that he saw Trump as heroic that day, to which Ventura replied, “Yeah, well, he accomplished what he wanted out of you guys.”
