These fan favourites could return at “The Showcase of the Immortals”

WrestleMania is the show of shows and is the biggest wrestling event of the year. It’s a show where careers are defined and legends are made. Throughout its illustrious history, fans have witnessed some unforgettable returns at the grandest stage of them all.

The most recent example is the return of The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 40 to take down The Rock and help Cody Rhodes secure the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

It was his first appearance at the Show of Shows in over three years and will go down as one of the most shocking returns in WrestleMania history.

As we are on the road to WrestleMania 41 right now, fans can expect these seven legends of the business to make a surprise appearance.

7. The Bella Twins

The Bella twins were an integral part of WWE’s women’s revolution. They were inducted into the Hall of Fame for their massive contributions to the wrestling business in 2021. It seemed like fans would never see the Bella twins in action again. However, Nikki’s return at the 2025 Royal Rumble changed everything. Following her return, Nikki teased her sister’s comeback to the company in a podcast and there is a great chance of us seeing their twin magic again at WrestleMania 41.

6. Rikishi

Jey Uso surprised the entire world when he eliminated John Cena from the Royal Rumble to earn himself a title shot at WrestleMania 41. He picked Gunther as his opponent and will have his sights set on winning his first-ever World Heavyweight Championship in the WWE. It will be a special night for the former Intercontinental champion and you can expect his father, Rikishi to accompany him at the ringside.

5. The Hardy Boyz

The return of Team Extreme at WrestleMania 33 will go down as one of the most iconic returns in the history of the show of shows. More than eight years later, we can see the repeat of this historic moment at WrestleMania 41. Thanks to WWE’s partnership with TNA, the Hardy Boyz have made some appearances in the NXT. However, one last return to the grandest stage of them all can be on the cards.

4. Goldberg

The legacy of Goldberg in WWE has been full of ups and downs. His initial run with the company was very underwhelming, but he made a groundbreaking return in 2016 to demolish Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series PLE. Following that win, he won multiple world titles and wrestled incredible matches against the likes of Bobby Lashley and Dolph Ziggler. Fans last saw him at the Bad Blood premium live event where a match between him and Gunther was teased.

3. Hulk Hogan

The immortal Hulk Hogan has made multiple appearances on WWE programming recently as he is in a deal with the company to promote his Real American Beer brand. As WrestleMania is the biggest show in all of WWE, an appearance on the show is very likely. We last saw him on the Raw’s Netflix debut and fans can certainly expect Hulkamania to run wild on them in Las Vegas once again.

2. AJ Lee

Fans are patiently waiting for the former Divas champion to make a return to the WWE ever since she left in 2015. She made her last appearance alongside Paige in a tag team match against the Bella twins. She is a fan favorite who stood out during the Divas’ era of women’s wrestling in WWE. Her husband, CM Punk, has teased this much-awaited return on many occasions, and seeing her working with the likes of Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, and Tiffany Straton will be a joy to watch for the fans.

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Texas Rattlesnake is considered the most important figure in WWE’s history by many fans. He was the face of the Attitude Era, which established WWE’s dominance over the professional wrestling landscape. He retired in 2003, but fans still give him a massive reaction whenever he shows up to deliver some stunners. He wrestled his last match against Kevin Owens in the main event of WrestleMania 38. He was rumored to make a surprise return in the main event of WrestleMania 40, but it’s likely that he will be present in Cody Rhodes’s corner this time around.
