WWE News - Longtime free agent moved to SmackDown roster

Paige has been moved to the SmackDown roster.

Former WWE Divas Champion Paige has officially moved to the SmackDown roster and is now a member of the Blue brand. Paige returned at WrestleMania 42 to replace Nikki Bella and join Brie Bella in a fatal four-way where the Women’s Tag Team Titles were up for grabs.

Paige and Brie managed to capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. However, the alliance was short-lived after Brie and Paige lost the Tag Team titles to Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid.

The latter continued to target them, leading to Nikki Bella’s return and setting up a SummerSlam six-woman tag match against Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid). The trio suffered defeat to Fatal Influence, leading the Bella Twins to turn on Paige.

Due to Brie’s shoulder injury, Nikki Bella continued the feud following her return in late August. The two even battled on the September 11 edition of SmackDown, with Nikki picking up the win.

Paige has made appearances on Raw since her return in April

Since her return, Paige was listed as a free agent in a new update on WWE’s roster page on their website. The change comes after continued appearances from the former Divas Champion on the Blue brand post-WrestleMania return.

Notably, Paige has made appearances on Monday Night Raw during the Women’s Tag Team Titles reign. She, along with Brie, defended the title in both their in-ring appearances on the Red Brand.

Paige’s last appearance on Raw came during the June 22 edition in London, England, where she and Brie defeated Bayley & Lyra Valkyria to retain the Tag Team titles.
