Jade Cargill was better than the Empress of Tomorrow tonight
Jade Cargill etched her name in history at WWE Night of Champions 2025 by defeating the legendary Asuka in the Queen of the Ring finals.
It was a hard-fought match that saw Cargill pushed to her limits, but the powerhouse persevered and walked out of Riyadh with the crown on her head and momentum firmly behind her.
Asuka targets Jade Cargillâs leg early
As the bell rang, Asuka wasted no time employing her veteran savvy. She quickly locked Cargill into a submission hold, aiming to wear down her bigger, stronger opponent.
The Empress of Tomorrow relentlessly targeted Cargillâs knee with a series of stomps and strikes, trying to take away her power advantage.
Cargill, however, showed her strength and resilience. She responded with a powerful Fallaway Slam that sent Asuka crashing across the mat. It was a necessary reset for Cargill, who had been on the defensive for much of the opening minutes.
Technical precision meets brute force
Asuka continued to rely on her striking game, rattling Cargill with a sharp Codebreaker and then a vicious roundhouse kick to the side of the head.
The former WWE Womenâs Champion followed up with an armbar, attempting to force a submission from the rising star.
Despite the pain, Cargill refused to quit. She escaped the armbar and soon found herself locked in Asukaâs feared submission, the Asuka Lock.
The Riyadh crowd held its breath as Cargill began to fade, but she showed tremendous ring awareness by countering into a surprise pinfall attempt. Asuka managed to kick out just in time.
Cargill finishes strong
With momentum shifting, Cargill exploded back into the match. She muscled Asuka into position and planted her with a thunderous âJadedâ in the center of the ring.
The referee counted the three, and the arena erupted as Cargill was declared the 2025 Queen of the Ring.
After the match, WWE officials Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis entered the ring to present Cargill with her crown. With Byron Saxton at ringside, Cargill briefly addressed the fans, declaring her win a message to the entire womenâs division.
Jade Cargill is now one step closer to superstardom and the Queenâs crown may just be the beginning.
Winner: Jade Cargill
