Penta and Ludwig Kaiser will battle each other in a no-holds-barred match
On the 03/17 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Penta and Ludwig Kaiser will battle each other in a no-holds-barred match. The two stars have been each other’s throat and now they will get the chance to settle their differences inside the squared ring.
The 03/17 episode of Monday Night Raw is set to emanate live from the Forest National in Brussels, Belgium. The show will feature the return of John Cena after turning heel at the Elimination Chamber PLE. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is also set for an appearance.
No-Holds Barred match rules
No-Holds Barred match, also known as No Disqualification match, is an extreme rules match held by the Stamford-based promotion. In this match type, neither wrestler can be disqualified, which means anything goes along with outside interference, weapons, and more.
Unlike a hardcore match, pinfalls and submissions in a no-holds-barred match must occur inside the ring for a victory. This type of match is typically used by the promotion to settle intense feuds.
Unless specified otherwise, a no-disqualification match can be decided by a countout. When a match cannot end in a countout, it is considered a no-disqualification, no-countout match, commonly referred to as a no-holds-barred match.
When did the last No-Holds Barred match take place in WWE?
The last time a No-Holds Barred match took place in the WWE was during the July 04, 2022 episode of Monday Night Raw, which emanated from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California, USA. Becky Lynch and Asuka battled in the match where Lynch emerged victorious.
While there have been multiple no-holds barred matches in the Stamford-based promotion, some of them have become iconic such as the No Holds Barred Steel Cage match where the team of Brutus Beefcake and Hulk Hogan defeat Randy Savage and Zeus.
Over the years, the concept of No Holds Barred has evolved, leading to variations like “Extreme Rules” matches, where the use of weapons is encouraged. When it comes to all-time no-holds-barred leader, Triple H holds that distinction as he has competed in a total of seven no-holds-barred matches.
Penta and Ludwig Kaiser are the latest addition to the list of stars who have battled in the unforgiving match type. The two stars will lock horns on Monday with the intent of putting the most amount of damage on each other.
