Some big title matches to look out for in the upcoming PLE
WWE is preparing to celebrate the scary season with their annual Halloween Havoc event this weekend. Unlike prior years, this will be a standalone premium live event on WWE programming, rather than a special weekly TV show. Following the most recent edition of NXT, the night of gimmick bouts includes two new additions to the program, one of which is a title fight to be contested under the “Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” rules.
Midway through the October 22 show of NXT, it was revealed that Kelani Jordan will face a member of Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, and Jaxmyn Nyx) for the NXT Women’s North American Championship at Halloween Havoc.
The main event of the NXT show saw Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer defeating Fatal Influence’s Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne in a tag team bout. After the match, Jayne spun the wheel on the ramp, which became stuck on the Spinner’s Choice requirement.
With Zaria making her debut at the same time, no more details about the scheduled title fight were announced on NXT. Furthermore, it is yet to be determined which member of Fatal Influence will battle Jordan for the title.
Jordan is the sole wrestler who has the Women’s North American championship, having won it at NXT Battleground earlier this year.
She’s been a powerful babyface champion throughout her career, with several clean and successful title defenses to her credit.
A grudge match will also take place on the Halloween Havoc PLE, with Chase U’s Andre Chase against Ridge Holland in an ambulance match.
Holland turned heel on Chase at the WWE No Mercy PLE last month, forcing him out of action for many weeks. NXT is bringing back Halloween Havoc 2024 as a WWE premium live event on Sunday, October 27 at the Giant Center in Hershey, PA.
WWE NXT Halloween Havoc 2024 confirmed match card
- Trick Williams (c) vs Ethan Page – Devil’s Playground Match for the NXT Championship
- Tony D’Angelo (c) vs Oba Femi – Tables, Ladders, and Scares match for the NXT North American Championship
- Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade
- Andre Chase vs Ridge Holland – Ambulance Match
- Kelani Jordan (c) vs a member of Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx) – NXT Women’s North American Championship Spinner’s Choice Match
Trick Williams (c) vs Ethan Page – Devil’s Playground Match for the NXT Championship
Trick Williams will defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page in a Devil’s Playground match. Dubbing himself “Two-Time Trick,” Williams is enjoying a second reign as NXT’s top title, but standing in his way is the same Superstar he dethroned, the boisterous Page.
On the October 15 edition of NXT, All Ego won a No. 1 Contenders Triple Threat Match over Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans, spun the Halloween Havoc wheel, and hit Williams with a light fixture.
The wheel landed on a Devil’s Playground Match, indicating that the bitter adversaries would face off in a horrific rematch.
Tony D’Angelo (c) vs Oba Femi – Tables, Ladders, and Scares match for the NXT North American Championship
Tony D’Angelo will defend the NXT North American Championship against the monster Oba Femi in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match.
The Don broke The Ruler’s record-breaking run as North American Champion on the October 8 broadcast of NXT in St. Louis, heralding a new era for The D’Angelo Family.
The next week, Femi faced D’Angelo and sought a rematch; after spinning the Halloween Havoc wheel, the two would face off in a Tables, Ladders, and Scares Match.
Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer vs Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade
NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez will join up with Cora Jade to face Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer in a dream tag team match.
Jade returned to NXT and assisted her former tag team teammate Perez defend her championship on the CW debut episode on October 1 in Chicago, forcing Giulia to enlist NXT’s newest star, Stephanie Vaquer, in her cause.
Will Perez and Jade prove that NXT is theirs to dominate, or will the newbies defeat the pompous NXT veterans?
Andre Chase vs Ridge Holland – Ambulance Match
Andre Chase pledges to exact retribution at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc. Ridge Holland previously brutally attacked Chase when they lost the NXT Tag Team Championship at WWE NXT No Mercy. Chase appeared on the October 15 edition of WWE NXT and rescued Riley Osborne from Holland.
In a taped message on the October 15 edition of WWE NXT, Andre Chase challenged Ridge Holland to an Ambulance Match at NXT Halloween Havoc on October 27. Holland later accepted the challenge, claiming that he would permanently demolish Chase U.
Kelani Jordan (c) vs a member of Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx) – NXT Women’s North American Championship Spinner’s Choice Match
Kelani Jordan will defend her Women’s North American Championship at NXT Halloween Havoc. Her opponent will be a Fatal Influence member, either Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, or Jazmyn Nyx. The trio decided not to tell Kelani who would be challenging her.
At the end of the 10/22 NXT on CW, Jayne spun the Halloween Havoc wheel to determine the stipulation for the title contest. It landed on ‘Spinner’s Choice,’ so Jordan has no idea who she will be defending her championship against or the style of the match.
