WWE NXT Homecoming (September 16, 2025): Women’s Tag Team titles match; Rhea Ripley & Tiffany Stratton in action; & more set for next week

This week’s episode featured appearances from main roster stars!

WWE NXT rolled into the CW this past Tuesday night with a stacked lineup featuring championship implications, cross-promotional intrigue, and rising stars looking to make their mark.

In the first match of the show, Josh Briggs defeated Je’Von Evans, while DarkState’s Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin defeated Hank Walker and Tank Ledger to retain the NXT Tag Team titles. On the other hand, Lainey Reid defeated Faby Apache in the WWE Speed Women’s title #1 Contender’s Tournament semifinals.

In the highly anticipated Flag match, Tavion Heights defeated North American Champion Ethan Page. The team of The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) and Zaria and Sol Ruca to bag the #1 Contender spot for the WWE Women’s Tag team titles.

During the show, main roster stars including #DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano), Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton, Carmelo Hayes, and Stephanie Vaquer also made appearances to set up clashes for the next week’s special show of WWE NXT Homecoming.

Two titles will be contested on next week’s show in Florida

After their win on this week’s show, The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) are now set to battle the Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair on the Homecoming show.

NXT North American Champion Ethan Page is also set to defend the title against Tyler Breeze, while #DIY (Tomasso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) are set to take on the team of Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes in a tag team match.

The team of babyfaces from the main roster, Stephanie Vaquer, Tiffany Stratton, and Rhea Ripley, after their segment this week, will battle Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx). Grayson Waller will host the ‘Grayson Waller Effect’ with guests Oba Femi and Ricky Saints.

The September 16 special episode of NXT Homecoming is set to air live from the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.
