WWE NXT Homecoming Results: Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria & Stephanie Vaquer defeat Fatal Influence; The Miz & Finn Balor appear & more

The special show was a star-studded affair at Full Sail University!

The September 16 special episode of WWE NXT Homecoming aired live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. WWE legends Triple H and Shawn Michaels kicked off the show, while William Regal also made an appearance during the opening segment.

Furthermore, the show featured appearances from multiple big names, including Shayna Baszler, Candice LeRae, Sami Zayn, The Miz, Damian Priest, Grayson Waller, Finn Balor, Joe Hendry, Montez Ford, Bianca Belair, and Bobby Roode.

In the first match of the show, WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss defeated The Culling (Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley) to retain the tag titles. On the other hand, the team of Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams, with a little help from The Miz, defeated #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) .

NXT North American Champion Ethan Page defeated Tyler Breeze to retain the title. Breeze made his return last week and competed in his first match in a losing effort.

Furthermore, Grayson Waller hosted the Grayson Waller Effect with  Ricky Saints and Oba Femi as guests. The segment was interrupted by Trick Williams.

In the main event of the show, the team of Lyra Valkyria, Rhea Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer emerged victorious against Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, & Jazmyn Nyx).

  • Oba Femi & Trick Williams clashed on The Grayson Waller Effect
  • Finn Balor returned with his vintage entrance
  • Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria & Stephanie Vaquer defeated Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne, & Jazmyn Nyx)

During the show, the promotion also announced matches for next week’s show, which will emanate from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando.

Following a heated exchange during the Grayson Waller Effect, where Trick Williams interrupted, it has been announced that Williams will not put his TNA World Title on the line. However, Oba Femi will defend his NXT Title in a winner-takes-all match.

On the other hand, Candice LeRae and Lainey Reid will meet in the WWE Speed Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s match, where the winner will secure the spot in the finals against the reigning Champion, Sol Ruca.
