WWE NXT (July 28, 2026): Preview, match card, news, timings & telecast details

Mike Santan will now be known as Cruz Montana in NXT.

WWE NXT returns with the July 28 edition from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando tonight. Last week, former TNA Champion Mike Santana made his official NXT debut last night after Tony D’Angelo defeated Naraki in a street fight to retain the NXT title.

Following his debut, Santana has confirmed that he will now be known as Cruz Montana, a name which is a tribute to honor his late father. He also confirmed his appearance for tonight’s show.

On the other hand, Shiloh Hill will take on Tristian Angles in a rematch, while in another singles match, Lizzy Rain battles former NXT Women’s North American Champion Izzi Dame.

The match was made official after Rain attacked Dame last week, preventing her from interfering in the match between Dame’s Culing stablemate Niko Vance and Shawn Spears. 

Meanwhile, NXT North American Champion Myles Borne will defend the title against newcomer Kam Hendrix. Borne will defend the title under the condition that he would be granted a future tag title opportunity alongside Tavion Heights.

Furthermore, OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) will take on BirthRight’s Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo & Uriah Connors in a Tag Team match.
