WWE NXT (August 19, 2025): Trick Williams battles Je’Von Evans; Jordynne Grace & Blake Monroe face off & more set for next week

Nia Jax & Joe Hendry were in action on the August 12 show of WWE NXT!

The August 12 episode of WWE NXT aired live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and delivered a stacked card with plenty of storyline twists ahead of the 2025 edition of NXT Heatwave.

In the first match of the show, former WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax defeated Lash Legend. The two women are locked in a fierce feud, which is likely going to continue.

Former TNA World Champion Joe Hendry in his squared circle return defeated Charlie Dempsey. Furthermore, Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne) defeated Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice, while Alba Fyre defeated Kendal Grey.

In the main event of the show, Darkstate (Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, & Saquon Shugars) defeated the team of Je’Von Evans, Moose, Oba Femi, and Trick Williams.

During the August 12 episode of WWE NXT, the developmental brand also announced multiple matches and segments for next week’s show, which will serve as the go-home show for NXT Heatwave 2025.

The build towards NXT Heavtwave will intensify on the go-home show

TNA World Champion Trick Williams and Je’Von Evans are set to battle in a number-one-contenders match with the winner getting a title match against the current champ, Oba Femi at NXT Heatwave.

Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura will battle in a street fight, while Jasper Troy will take on Ricky Saints. NXT’s Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx) will take on TNA’s The Elegance Brand (Ash By Elegance, Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance).

Furthermore, ahead of their clash on Sunday, Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe will come face-to-face on next week’s show. Additionally, Ethan Page and Chelsea Green seek a Peace Treaty with Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele.

The August 19 episode of the developmental brand is set to air live from The Met Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
